Birth advice
If you've given birth before, what advice would you share to expecting mothers from your experience? My advice~assign someone to make or order you a hot and nutritious meal in the immediate postpartum period. You will not know you are famished until you are asked or brought food. I had warm Thai curry both times after giving birth. They were the best meals of my life.

Preparing for Birth Isn’t Just Physical — It’s Mental, Emotional & Spiritual Too
Birth asks more of the mind than we realize. It asks us to trust the unknown. To stay grounded in intensity. To soften where we usually grip.To let go when we want to control. Mental health prep for birth isn’t about avoiding fear—it’s about learning how to be with it, and still move forward. It’s about building tools that bring you back to center when things feel big. Mindset work for birth might look like:— Releasing fear through journaling or storytelling— Practicing breath and body awareness— Visualizing your ideal birth space— Creating affirmations that actually land— Learning how your nervous system responds to stress— Talking through past traumas or birth stories You can build your birth mindset the same way you stretch your body:slowly, gently, consistently, with love. Birth is not just about what your body can do—It’s also about how your mind is held, and how your heart is prepared to open. Let’s support the whole you. At your next visit, lets look for ways to help you prepare mentally + emotionally for your birth journey.

As I approached the halfway mark through my pregnancy and have been actively learning the information/ tools to support me in “what I don’t know that I don’t know” This a topic, I find, is not talked about enough. Thank you so much for bringing this up!! The mental challenges that we will come across during birth, I believe is just as important to know about, feel into, and prepare for!! What do you do in the face of fear? How do you respond when there is major doubt? What are the natural tendencies of your mind when faced with uncomfortable emotions and physical pain? I think it’s important to train with peace, just as you said Meaghan! And Train I will begin 💪
