Less spoken word
We are talking less more than ever and it’s damaging, AI is also contributing. A quiet shift is happening in how people communicate that has health and business implications. Researchers are estimating people are speaking hundreds of fewer words per day, resulting in a sizable decline in regular conversation. What feels incremental at the individual level adds up to something much larger: millions of words, and thousands of interactions, disappearing from daily life. Spoken conversation is one of the primary ways people build relationships, process emotion, align understanding, flag concerns, and form deeper connections. When we speak less, we connect less, learn less about each other, and weaken the social fabric that supports well-being and performance. Today, advances in AI are making communication faster and more efficient but also, in some cases, thinner and more uniform. AI can short-circuit communications altogether. For businesses and what we do everday, this trend has important implications. Fewer spoken interactions lead to weaker team cohesion, lower psychological safety and trust, reduced well-being, and less organizational effectiveness. So much so that social health is increasingly being recognized as a critical part of workforce well-being. Remember, people do business with people. Not emails, texts or even AI. AI is a tool and for special purpose use only!

Agreed — I wouldn’t reference the call publicly. I’d keep it natural: Well said, Vincent. AI can make us more efficient, but efficiency and connection aren’t the same thing. Especially in relationship-driven businesses, trust is still built through real conversations and actually understanding the people you’re working with. The human element isn’t going anywhere.
Commercial Lending Resource 750k+ | Multifamily & Beyond
Good afternoon everyone, I’m Alex with Sunnyhill Financial. I work on the debt side of commercial real estate, helping investors and operators finance acquisitions, refinances, bridge deals, value-add projects, and situations that may not fit neatly inside a traditional bank’s box. On larger commercial deals, we typically work from $1M up to $250M+ through banks, credit unions, debt funds, agency, life companies, CMBS and private capital. I also have options for smaller investment properties, including a lending partner with a $50K minimum loan amount and up to 80% LTV, depending on the deal. I’m based in California but work on commercial deals nationwide. Not here to spam the group with loan programs. Happy to be a resource if anyone has a deal they’re trying to make sense of or wants a second set of eyes on the financing. Looking forward to connecting with everyone. Lexi — definitely worth connecting. I’m on the debt side rather than the equity/buyer side, but I work with multifamily and commercial investors nationwide and can help structure financing when you have a qualified buyer looking at one of these opportunities. Happy to be a resource as deals come across your desk.

@Greg Widelski — came across this a little late, but this is right in my wheelhouse. I’m a commercial mortgage broker and work on multifamily financing nationwide, including value-add transactions where the structure can be just as important as the rate. If you’re still actively pursuing deals in UT, NV and AZ, I’d be happy to be a resource on the debt side — whether that’s sizing a deal early, comparing structures or stepping in when a deal doesn’t fit the obvious lender box.

@Michele D — came across this a little late, but your post caught my attention since you’re looking in San Diego and Phoenix/Tempe. I’m a commercial mortgage broker and work with multifamily investors on conventional and more creative financing structures. If you’re still pursuing this, I’d be happy to be a resource on the debt side and help you evaluate financing as potential deals come up. Feel free to message me anytime.
