Day 39 + 40 No added sugar
Had an interesting 2 days in the city of Chinggis. No real slip ups but I did have a nightmare of a time trying to get people to understand what Vegan is at restaurants😅 very different lifestyle here and even though food was difficult it wasn't too bad. Heading back to my favorite restaurant in UB tomorrow and should be an exciting next few weeks of travel.
Day 37+38 No sugar
Tried fermented horse milk alcohol today😅 I’ve done relatively well the last days but it’s been weighing on me with the difficulty finding food during the lunar new year. My favorite restaurant has still been closed so everything has been expensive and most restaurants have nothing vegan. Probably some of the worst days for food my whole trip. I did get to attend a traditional Mongolian new year celebration today and they had a massive amount of stuff to eat. Not eating meat there was interesting but luckily I had a friend to smooth things over. Heading to a small town tomorrow so we’ll see about food👀
Day 35😐
Relatively easy and boring day. I edited for many hours and only ate twice. It did hit me after I was finished eating that I was still craving sugar so even though I’m well into this and committed the feelings haven't gone away completely

Thats interesting I’m in the 3-4 week range but have definitely not been perfect so it probably resets a bit
Day 2—Failure
I had intense cravings and binge ate. I also almost masturbated to porn, but I didn’t. Here’s a detailed list of what I ate: - Orange juice, - granulated sugar. - brown sugar, - an apple and peanut butter, - honey, - strawberry ice cream, - trail mix with added sugar, - salted caramel chocolate I’m living with my parents, and they have easier access to unhealthy foods. This isn’t an excuse, but a new problem that I have to solve. It’s actually a good thing, because this environment is more similar to other environments; most places have some unhealthy foods around. Key takeaways: - If I start feeling intense cravings, leave. Go for a long walk—ideally until you have to sleep. Stop everything you’re doing and remove yourself from an environment where it’s easy to binge. - If I start feeling intense cravings, lock your devices. I use a lockbox for my phone and computer. I usually binge eat while watching YouTube—I don’t typically do one by itself. So, locking my devices will make me less likely to binge eat. I also went on YouTube this morning for about 15 minutes. So, I’m adding 4 days to my goal (98 days).

I ran into this living with my parents as well its a very different type of challenge when you have so much access to unhealthy food
Day 36🫣
EVERYTHING in the entire city of Ulaanbaatar is closed. I was dumb and didn’t realize that even grocery stores would be closed for the lunar new year. This lead to me wandering around the city for 2+ hours and finding only convenience stores with ramen open. I was very desperate and decided to eat some banana cookies for more calories. They definitely had sugar :( These were extremely weird circumstances and it was probably the hardest time I’ve ever had finding food in any city :/ Hopefully things reopen tomorrow otherwise I will be in trouble since lunar new year is 3 days
