Focus
When doing a lot of repetitions my focus always was elsewhere after a few spins This was though so easy a game changer for me Write down the things you want to improve in your playing f.e.: thumb position , Lazy first finger , wrist motion…. Place the sheet of paper in front of you when practicing Do always 1-3 repetitions only focusing on one thing, then the next repetition(s) only focusing on the next thing… With this simple method you can’t be elsewhere with your thoughts and every repetition will improve your playing You ll notice an improvement very soon
Practice tool
Sounds silly but one of my most effective practice tools was to visualise my picking motion as a tangent touching the string

⚡ 30-Day Alternate Picking Challenge – Starts Sept 26
We’re kicking off a 30-day challenge inside the Practice Room. From Sept 26 to Oct 26, your mission is simple: ✅ Do the 30-minute Alternate Picking Deep Dive routine every day ✅ Post your check-in and questions in this thread The goal is daily consistency and measurable improvement in your alternate picking. So do make sure you post every day when you've done the routine, we're building accountability and forward momentum this way. You can find the Alternate Picking Deep Dive in the classroom. I’ll be here in the thread to answer questions, give tips, and keep everyone on track. 👉 Comment “I’m in” below if you’re joining, and let’s see how much progress we can make in 30 days.

@Acke Wenelius f.e. Always play an open string between the notes of a lick forces the fingers of your fretboard hand to move faster and is good for sync

@Acke Wenelius do you have any recommendations for me?
What are you listening to now?
Listening is such an important part of growing as a musician, and sometimes the easiest way to improve your guitar playing or musicianship is just to find something new that inspires you. So post your favorite things. Could be anything. Old, new, weird, beautiful, dissonant. I'm currently rediscovering this amazing duo album with Bireli Lagrene and Sylvain Luc (RIP): https://youtu.be/BQxvrvaiLOY?list=RDBQxvrvaiLOY
