I’ve thought of skating like learning to play spades. If you didn’t learn before 17, it’s too late for you. But at 41, I’ve bought a pair of skates and PPE, so let me see how much I can learn without breaking anything important
Hi I'm new here! I'm a rookie roller derby player looking to up my skate skills and be as efficient as possible on the track and have fun while doing it.
Hello I’m new here, I am teaching myself to skate, never done it when I was younger but always wanted too, I’m in my 60s and I’m determined to beat the fear 😄 so hi everyone have a great day/night 👋🏻😁
I'm excited for you to 'beat the fear'. 😊 The best way to do that is to learn how to fall safely. You dont want to injure yourself. So watch some YouTube videos and practice falling. Practice until you automatically bend your knees at the slightest hint of ..."oh darn!!!!! I'm about to fall" Just ensure that you ALWAYS wear your protective gear. By protective gear, I mean knee, wrist, maybe butt/hip pads and possibly a helmet.
been hitting the city of Barcelona for the past two days can’t wait for the skate love festival. Drop a comment if you’re gonna be here so I can make sure to meet you! And if you haven’t already think about taking my workshop.
