wassgood fam. droppin a real one for u today 🔋 most yall think the second u miss a payment its over. u panic. u think that late already sittin on ur credit tankin ur score. nah. u got a window most yall dont even know u got. heres the deal. ur creditor dont report u late to the bureaus the day u miss the due date. they report u at 30 days PAST DUE. one full billin cycle. so if u 5 days late. 15 days late. even 29 days late. that late aint touched equifax experian or transunion yet. it aint on ur credit at all. what u DO catch when u miss the due date is a late fee. n maybe a penalty APR if u keep slippin. that part stings but it dont touch ur score. the credit damage dont even start til day 30. why this matter so much. ONE 30 day late on a clean file can drop u 60 to 110 points. n it ride on ur report for 7 years. but a payment u catch up on at day 20. nobody ever know it happened cept u n that late fee. the play step by step. first. soon as u realize u slipped on a due date. dont freeze up. peep how many days past due u actually are. u prob got more room than u think. second. pay AT LEAST the minimum before u hit day 30. thats the line in the sand. get current before that billin cycle close n it never reports. third. if u already past 30 n it hit ur report. dont panic neither. thats when u run a goodwill ask straight to the lender to pull it off. peep the goodwill gem i dropped. fourth. set every card to autopay the minimum at the bare minimum. that way u physically cant trip the 30 day line even on a tight month. real talk. the late fee is the warnin shot. the 30 day mark is the real bullet. u got that whole window in between to fix it before it ever touch ur file. u think u slipped on a payment recently? drop how many days past due u are below n me n my team will tell u exactly if u still got time to save it before it hits 💎
