Visual Distractions
Do you, like me, get distracted by bright, freshly painted white lines in crosswalks? I have never seen this example in any of my reading.

Yes, that makes a good deal of sense. You're good at it.

As always, you're right. It is my hope to get back to this later but a late breakfast beckons.
Balance Obstacle Course
It is great to see Balance Blueprint numbers going up both here and at YouTube. It took me watching just one BB video to decide that this is the place for those of us with balance problems to be. Yesterday my own progress was put to diverse and sometimes comical challenges trying to walk up this street ... and I made it to my destination and then back home all on foot.

Be that as it may, this obstacle course was pretty extreme. It ended when walking downhill - a problem area for me - and a women walking up the hill stumbled and fell in front of me. She got up promptly under her own power which is good because I wouldn't have been able to be a lot of help. Today, the same mail truck blocked me twice. My Internet Service Provider blocked my path only once but they used two trucks to do it. And I keep on with my walks. Trying to get my balance from my feet and legs instead of from vision has changed my gait considerably.
Neck Position Sensor
Here is a Balance Blueprint short video Why your dizzy all the time 🥴 #shorts on a topic I've previously seen nothing about. The video was a YouTube suggestion. It hit me personally. It's a long story, but my collarbone was deliberately broken at birth. My mother went home and I stayed in the hospital with my arm in a sling. As my friend Red said, "And your mother left you in the hospital with THAT DOCTOR!" Anyway, that's just my story. You may find this video to be a learning experience as I did. You may want to follow Dr. Pulaski at YouTube if you haven't already.

All of it. I never heard of neck sensors. This is odd because of the many, many times I have read about neck tightness. Questionnaires ask about neck tightness. Until your helpful video, I have never seen one word about neck sensors, and it is not for lack of reading time on this topic.
Balance From Feet and Legs
My primary care physician has encouraged me to continue with the Balance Blueprint. I would have anyway, but it is great to be part of a physician-recommended group. I am getting a sense of some of my balance coming from my legs and feet. It does not come naturally or easily, after three quarters of a century of taking my balance mainly from vision. Balance is a complicated thing for anyone and it is far, far more complex for those of us with serious balance problems. It is terrific to see that the Balance Blueprint group is growing.

@Dr. Aliah Pulaski, PT, DPT "Somatics" is a book worth reading. The author takes the position that many if not all of the "signs of aging" can be headed off or even reversed. He goes into great detail. Some of what he uses are the Feldenkreis Method exercises, which I imagine you know. A friend's husband is a massage therapist. He believes in this book so much that he gives away copies to people he knows. It is how I learned about "Somatics," but I guess I didn't qualify for a free copy. It's worth the purchase price. You've got a good thing going here. Attached is a quick plug I posted at the social media platfform, Mastodon. It has since been circulated by the Healthcare Channel's feed. The part about me being the group's newest member is happily out of date.

A link just sent me back to this comment. Would you like me to send you a copy of "Somatics"? I'd need a physical address. Don't remember whether a business address is posted at the Balance Blueprint site. After all you've done for me, I could send you the book and still owe you big time
Wish it would just stick
There seem to be ups and downs everyday. Yesterday was perfect, today is not

Does Dr. Pulaski suggest keeping what seems to be called a three sentence journal? It came to me as a suggestion once. It is intended to keep track of key factors for maybe a week or two. The only example I remember - but a really important one - is how well a person slept the night before. A so-so or poor night of sleep the night before is a very important trigger in my case. Google AI thinks lighting conditions may be a trigger for me and suggested a specific type of sunglasses.

I have had CRPS longer than most people have been alive (since 1959). PPPD came along much more recently. They don't seem to go together well.
