Hi Matt, I got rid of my social media accounts last November, to reduce my stress. I came across your Skool portal again while I helped out my Jiu Jitsu friend. Have you given up your Skool site?
Slack Line Training for Balance
I been working my balance on a GIB Board for the past three weeks. I noticed it has made me aware of my back core muscles to the benefit of executing Strikes and kicks. Has anybody else found balance training to benefit their Muay Thai skills?

Matt, I think I fall for a lot of performance type Marketing. I think my balance improved because I've been kicking a lot ! However, I do enjoy my gib board in general.

@Matt Ayuen My instructor refers to push-pull strikes as striking with limbs from alternating sides of your body. Left kick, right punch, left knee, etc. He recommends this practice to beginners. More advance students can working in consecutive strikes originating from the same side of their body. I came up with my question thinking that more advance students might be aware of certain defender reactions that we can take advantage of with our combos. All I have so far is that we tend to defend what has been hit which opens up targets on other parts of our body.

@Matt Ayuen Just wondering. Is there a difference between a fake and a faint?
Blueprint to Sparring
Kru, That was an informative class. The format of short individual video clips per lesson made it easy to watch. Overall, the course was clear, concise, and valuable. Thank you for putting it together.

Hi Everyone, My name is Al from Sacramento, California. I started taking Muay Thai last August because a school a mile from my house has 6am classes. I normally train bjj in the evenings, but work on Mondays and Tuesdays drain me too much to fight traffic (I’m a spoiled remote worker) in the evening to train. After a few months Muay Thai, I started feeling the flow of the combos, and it is addictive. My goal now is just to be able to execute any strike or defense at any time. My other goal is to be able to throw controlled head kicks more often. I’m short at 5’3” but flexible and was able to throw a few controlled head kicks during sparring, My Kru wants to see more. But it takes my mind a few beats to spool up to throw them, so I’m working on making throwing them more instinctive.
