There is no LIGHT without darkness💜
No one—even spiritual gurus and lightworkers—is above the effects of this world. Being positive and enlightened doesn't mean you live 24/7 in a land of sunshine and rainbows. It means you get better at handling the darkness a little more each day. Little by little, it becomes easier to find the color, and the darkness won’t seem quite as dark. Eventually, you start to see the darkness as a lighter shade of gray because you’ve processed so much of it that your vibrant, light-filled energy shines through. You cannot reverse consciousness. Once you become aware of your true nature and use it as a tool—or even a superpower—to take back control of your life, the road to more peaceful, happier days becomes unblocked and clearer.

How should you sit when you meditate?
You will hear many different theories on how to sit while meditating. The most well-known position is sitting with your legs crossed in what is referred to as the lotus position, as shown in the image below. Personally, I cannot sit in that position for long periods. If I lie down while meditating, I usually fall asleep. However, I have found that when I sit comfortably with proper neck support, I can maintain a level of comfort that makes stillness easier. Someday, I hope to design a meditation chair that provides support for the body, regardless of size or fitness level.

Do you get out in nature regularly?
I took myself on a hike yesterday. Looking back, even five years ago, this is something I never would have done—especially in the winter. Over the last two years, though, hiking and being outdoors have almost become a necessity in my energy management routine. Connecting with nature, sitting in silence, and simply absorbing the incredible energy that is so present in nature is true medicine for the soul.

A simple grounding exercise is picturing tree trunks growing from your knees and the roots going down into the earth and connecting with the trees around you. I like to picture my worries being absorbed deep into the earth and then I imagine a healing energy coming up through my legs and into my body delivering healing energy to wherever my body needs it.
