Just Because You Can Take the Case Doesn’t Mean You Should
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned as an attorney is this: Every engagement is an endorsement. There was a time I realized that moving forward on a matter would require me to draft and affirm documents that conflicted with my deeply held convictions. The clients had done nothing wrong. The request was lawful. But for me, proceeding would have crossed a professional and personal boundary. So I declined—with clarity, professionalism, and a referral to ensure they were still served well. What happened next? God filled the gap—quickly. That experience reinforced something I now live by: Not every open door is your door. Discernment is part of ethical practice. And saying “no” in alignment creates space for the right “yes.” 👇🏿How do you decide when to move forward—and when to step back?

What it Means to be An Anointed Attorney
People call me “The Anointed Attorney”—and I don’t take that lightly. Being an anointed attorney doesn’t mean my work is easy. It means I’m accountable—to God first. It means: • I can’t chase money at the expense of integrity • I can’t ignore injustice when it’s inconvenient • I can’t separate my faith from my practice Some days, that looks like advocating fiercely for families. Other days, it looks like turning down opportunities God didn’t authorize. I’ve learned that obedience will cost you speed, applause, and comfort, BUT it will always pay you back in peace, protection, and purpose. I don’t just practice law. I steward assignments. And that changes everything. 👉🏿If you lead, serve, or build from faith—how do you navigate obedience in your work?
