Hi everybody, I'm a music producer and DJ. I make Indian-inspired tech house AKA Indo House, and run a record label called Pinkturban. I'm originally from the UK, currently living in LA, and moving to Goa in India next month. I love Indian Classical music and studying the India hand drum tabla, Bollywood songs, chanting, Buddhism, traveling, Middle Eastern typography, and The Simpsons, amongst other things. I'm good at creatively connecting things together that wouldn't usually go together to create new things, computer programming (which I started at the age of 6), graphic design, and snowboarding. This is the first song of mine that I’ve heard people sing along to. Earlier this year, after moving to Canada, I heard Smoke Rings by Les Paul and Mary Ford and it sounded sick when she sang “Puff your cares away”. I was smoking heavily at the time, using cannabis as an unhealthy coping mechanism. I was also really into Aussie Rap around then. So in conclusion, I spat some hectic stoner bars on a Les Paul track. 😎 This song is nothing like I would make now, but it stands as an honest representation of how I felt at the time. There’s nothing I would have done differently.
