The Armor of God is a biblical metaphor from Ephesians 6:10-18, representing spiritual protection for Christians in spiritual battles, consisting of six pieces: the Belt of Truth, Breastplate of Righteousness, Shoes of the Gospel of Peace, Shield of Faith, Helmet of Salvation, and the Sword of the Spirit (the Word of God). Each piece symbolizes virtues and spiritual practices to stand firm against evil, providing defense (belt, breastplate, shoes, shield, helmet) and offense (sword) for believers. The Six Pieces of the Armor: 1. Belt of Truth: Girding the loins, it represents honesty and integrity, anchoring faith against lies. 2. Breastplate of Righteousness: Protects the heart, symbolizing justification through Christ and righteous living. 3. Shoes of the Gospel of Peace: Prepared feet ready to spread peace and stand firm on the Gospel message. 4. Shield of Faith: A defensive shield to quench fiery darts of doubt, fear, and temptation. 5. Helmet of Salvation: Protects the mind and thoughts from spiritual confusion and deception. 6. Sword of the Spirit: The Word of God, the only offensive weapon, used to actively fight spiritual attacks.
