3 Low-Competition Niches I Found This Week 👀📚
If you’ve been stuck on what kind of book to create next, this is your reminder that opportunities are everywhere—you just have to know how to look for them. Here are 3 niches I found this week that have solid demand but relatively low competition: - Kitten Coloring Book for Kids - 533 monthly searches / 33 competition score / <10,000 competitors - Potty Training Sticker Chart - 689 monthly searches / 39 competition score / ~100 competitors - Bedtime Routine System- 602 monthly searches / 37 competition score / <100 competitors This is exactly why I’m always talking about validating before you create. These aren’t random ideas… they’re backed by real data. I used Publisher Rocket to find these, and it’s one of the most valuable tools you can have as a self-publisher. It helps you uncover keywords people are already searching for—so you’re not guessing, you’re positioning. The goal isn’t just to create a book… It’s to create a book that has a chance to actually sell. 👉 Start paying attention to keywords that: - You’re interested in - Align with content you’d enjoy creating - Have demand but manageable competition That’s where the magic happens. Curious… which one of these niches would you explore first? 👇

@Robert Redden I love tis idea! You would sell it outside of amazon, though?
Spike in older book sales after a new release - algorithm or coincidence?
Has anyone noticed this? On the day I publish a new book, sales of an older one (not part of a series, not even in the same genre) suddenly went up. Is this an algorithm effect - like increased visibility for the author as a whole or just coincidence? If it is the algorithm, then it changes how often it makes sense to publish.

@Krista Brea No, it'not. Only amazon knows it's still me 😁
Accountability Time ⏰
We could all use a little accountability - Including myself ❤️ Read the questions then grab the template at the bottom and make a post 🗒️ 1️⃣ What is **one specific thing** you completed on your book this week? Examples: * Finalized my book topic * Chose my main keyword + category * Wrote 1,200 words * Edited Chapter 1 * Uploaded my manuscript draft 2️⃣ What is the one thing you can commit to finishing by next week? Examples: * Write 2 chapters * Finish book outline * Draft my book description * Collect 10 competitor book screenshots 3️⃣ One blocker - What slowed you down or got in your way this week? This gives you: * Content ideas * Coaching opportunities * Workshop themes * DM conversations for higher-level support 4️⃣ Where are you at right now? 🔥 On track 🟡 Progress but slow 🔴 Stuck 🧠 Overthinking ⏸️ Life happened Drop your update below 👇 (Keep it short — progress > perfection) 1️⃣ **One thing you completed this week:** 2️⃣ **One thing you’re committing to finish next week:** 3️⃣ **Any blocker slowing you down? I’ve published my workbook—it will accompany the book currently in the editing process. I’ve also designed the cover. Next week, I’ll read through the manuscript.
Choosing a writer’s alias?
Hey there! I’m curious about how one chooses an author’s name. I don’t want to publish all the books I write under my name, only one! lol So how does one choose a self-publishing name? All those who use an alias, do you have a different one for each book genre? Also, feel free to let me know if I'm overthinking this lol… I tend to do that!

I publish under my mother’s maiden name because the topic is sensitive. I’m planning to publish my business books under my own name. As for the coloring books, I’ve just come up with a name for the “publishing house.”
Unupported language for ebook
In my native language (Polish), Amazon KDP does not seem to support eBook publishing properly. Kindle books in Polish reportedly don’t display correctly on devices, and according to KDP, they may even be removed from sale because the language is considered unsupported. Has anyone here tried publishing in an unsupported language on Amazon? - Were you able to keep your book live without issues? - If you do have an eBook in an unsupported language, is there any workaround to still sell it via Amazon? - And if not through Amazon — how are you handling distribution and sales? - Would really appreciate hearing real experiences
