It finally happened. My Skool community is live. I've been a member of skool since February. I joined this group I think somewhere in April. I procrastinated creating my Skool community for so long. I made content, decided not to use it. Pitched my idea with friends some liked it, some didn't. Thought a bit more, changed my plan, did nothing,... But the fact that it's finally live feels like such a relief. Now I just have to focus on making it the best community possible. Some context: I am a nutrition coach from Belgium and wanted to make a Skool community around Gut health. However, I noticed that more than 80% of my clients were women and I wanted to attract more men. When pitching the idea for a community about gut health to men, most weren't interested. So I asked them what they would be interested in. And it quickly became clear that they would want a more allround group for self improvement, accountability, mindset, health AND brotherhood. I've been in the self improvement world for a while, but I'm not an expert on all those topics. So I looked in my network for people that know more about this stuff than me. I looked for life coaches, people that live of off their investments, people whom I consider to have a strong mindset, entrepreneurs,... Pitched the idea of a community of men helping each other grow and most were interested. So I just invited all 9 of them to the community. This will also help with the engagement imo. I will make content on health, while other's will also host webinars and maybe record content on different topics. And last but not least, we plan to organise live events so that people from the community can really get to know each other, network and make friends. The events will be fun stuff not just a workshop and then network. For example the first one will most likely be a bushwack (make fire, make knifes,.. in a forest). Since I want people to be able to join the live events, I am focussing on people from Belgium and The Netherlands. That's why I made the content in Dutch. But I'm still in doubt if I should keep in in Dutch or switch to English so people from all over the world can join, but might not be able to join the live events.
