Stop Waiting. Start Booking.
One of the biggest mistakes I see new photo booth owners make is thinking they need more equipment before they can grow. The truth? Your business usually doesn’t need another booth… It needs more bookings. Before you spend another dollar on gear, ask yourself: ✅ Do I have a pricing strategy that converts? ✅ Am I posting consistently on social media? ✅ Have I asked every client for a Google review? ✅ Am I following up with every lead? ✅ Do I have a referral system? Most photo booth businesses don’t struggle because of the equipment they own. They struggle because they don’t have a system for consistently attracting new clients. 💬 Discussion Question: If someone handed you 10 qualified leads today, would you know exactly how to turn them into paying clients? If not, what’s the biggest part of the sales process you struggle with? Drop your answer below, and I’ll personally help you work through it. 👇 🎓 Looking to build or grow your photo booth business? 📚 Browse our Launch Programs & business resources:https://www.360pbexpert.store 🎥 Free tutorials:https://www.youtube.com/@360BoothExpert
Stop Waiting. Start Booking.
You Don't Need a Portfolio to Get Your First Booking
One of the biggest mistakes I see new photo booth owners make is waiting until they have the "perfect" portfolio before they start marketing. The truth is... Your first few events create the portfolio that books your next 50. Here's how I'd start today: ✅ Offer one or two discounted events to friends, family, or local businesses. ✅ Capture everything: - Behind-the-scenes setup - Guest reactions - Photo strips - Videos - Your booth in action ✅ Ask every client for: - A Google review - Photos of the event - Permission to share their gallery ✅ Post consistently on social media. People don't need to see that you've done 500 events—they need to see that you create an amazing experience. Every event should produce enough content for weeks of marketing. Discussion Question: What is your biggest challenge right now when it comes to getting your first (or next) booking? Drop your answer below, and I'll personally reply with advice specific to your situation. 👇

@Adeyeye Timilehin That's a great question! 👊 For your first few bookings, I'd avoid getting into a negotiation. Instead, set a Founder's Special or Grand Opening rate and make it clear it's a limited-time offer. For example: "I'm offering this introductory rate to build my portfolio, and in return I'd love permission to use photos/videos from your event and an honest review afterward." This keeps the conversation focused on the value you're providing instead of how low you can go. Also remember: your first clients aren't just paying for a photo booth—they're helping you build a brand. Treat every event like it's a $2,000 booking. Deliver an incredible experience, capture amazing content, and collect reviews. Those first few events will pay dividends long after they're over. What type of events are you targeting first—birthdays, weddings, corporate, or school events? I'd be happy to share a strategy specific to that market.

@Adeyeye Timilehin Thanks so much! I really appreciate the follow. 😊 If you're just getting started, don't wait until you have a portfolio to start marketing. Build one intentionally. My recommendation is: • Offer a few discounted or complimentary events for friends, family, or local businesses in exchange for great photos and videos. • Focus on creating high-quality content you can post consistently on social media. • Set up a simple website and a Google Business Profile so potential clients can find you. • Reach out to local venues, DJs, planners, and photographers—they can become some of your best referral partners. Most importantly, don't wait for everything to be perfect. Your first few events are what create the portfolio that books the next 50. I'd love to know—where are you located, and do you already own a photo booth or are you still researching? 👇

@Schyla Santana Schyla, you're already thinking like a business owner—that's exactly what will help you grow. 👏 It sounds like you've built a solid foundation with baby showers, birthdays, graduations, and school events. Weddings are a natural next step, especially once you add printing. Clients love walking away with a photo strip, and it can definitely help you charge more. I also love that you're planning to add flower walls and keychain/magnet experiences. Those are great upsells that increase your average booking without needing more events. As for pricing, most people actually undercharge in the beginning. Instead of trying to be the cheapest, focus on the value and experience you provide. Premium branding, reliable service, and quality equipment will always attract better clients than competing on price alone. And yes! The Emperor Photo Booth Shell Bundle does include the flash rod, so you can easily mount a wireless flash to the booth. The shell package doesn't include the flash itself—that's included in the Launch Program—but it's fully designed to support one. Keep going! I'd love to see your business hit that next level over the next 12 months. What's your target? 50 events? 100 events? 200 events?
