Hi guys, I was taking a walk and was compelled to make a video talking about some of the underlying roots to Handwriting and find motor skills.. take a look. https://youtu.be/hIOLaeySFNo?si=4Q8bqykXxVggA6ui
New Video Coming this evening!!! Check it out! Its the Final Capital Letter lesson before lower case letters are typically taught! https://youtu.be/wW5rQ8-Ymqo
What’s the hardest part about teaching or practicing handwriting right now? Is it:✏️ Getting kids to stay engaged✏️ Finding time in the day✏️ Knowing what to focus on✏️ Something else? Drop your answer below—I’d love to help 🤎
Oh yes I see this all the time! Have you ever heard of the Magic C? I have kids practice in letter groups, one of which is called the Magic c group… this is for letters a, d,g,o, q…. try to have them start the letter with a (good looking) letter c then finish the letter…. Let me know how it goes!
I agree! Bad habits are the worst! It will definitely take repetition with fun things to do while we reteach new ones.. For my bottom starters I’ll have them keep score using tally marks… but they have to start from the top! Lots of repetition, usually a fun activity and many opportunities to break a bad habit and start a new one!
This will be a great time for you to master your Handwriting lessons so you can start next school year off strong! Or you can take your child through the video lessons by pressing play and rewinding key parts! We can do this!!
