Niching feels impossible
I get so stuck on niching and feel like I'm just going in circles and can't help anyone. The thing is, the people who come to my class are not new mothers, they're usually older than me and I don't particularly want to target new mothers like myself but because I am that it always ends up there. But I'm not menopausal so I don't want to focus there. So then how outside of life-stage is the best way to narrow people down? I'm a yin yoga and yoga nidra guide. I'm also a herbalism student so that will come into my work more the more I learn. I have been through niching with many coaches and it just hasn't landed for me. I overthink it and I get to the place of not being able to help anyone with enough specificity. Here is what AI helped me come up with. I'm not in love with it but would love thoughts outside of myself. I think #3 is the best... but it still feels too vague? 1. **I help chronically sleep-deprived mothers make the sleep they do get more restorative** through yin yoga and yoga nidra, so they stop snapping at their kids over small things and can tell the difference between "he's having a tantrum" and "I'm losing it." 2. **I help exhausted mothers reclaim an hour of the day that's actually theirs** through nidra-based deep rest practices, so instead of doom-scrolling or stress-eating once the kids are down, they have real energy left for a project, a workout, or an idea they've been sitting on for months. 3. **I help women running on chronic sleep debt break the cycle of numbing out and then feeling guilty about it** through short yin and nidra practices, so they go from "surviving the day and collapsing into their phone" to actually finishing the small things they keep meaning to do — the load of laundry, the email, the workout. 4. **I help mothers stop carrying every bad moment as proof they're a bad mom** through nervous-system-regulating yin and nidra practices, so a hard 20 minutes with their toddler stays a hard 20 minutes, instead of turning into a spiral that ruins their whole evening.

@Susanne Rieker I'd really appreciate your thoughts on these. Do you think the angle is commercial enough? I think 1, 2 or 5 are the better ones: Consequence-forward (leads with what sleep debt is doing to her): I help women running on broken sleep stop feeling foggy and reactive the next day — through yin and yoga nidra — without needing an earlier bedtime or a calmer life first. - Mechanism-forward (leads with the counterintuitive promise): I help women get more out of the little sleep they're actually getting — waking clearer and steadier — through yin and yoga nidra, no extra hours required. - Identity/stakes-forward (leads with "I don't feel like me"): I help women whose sleep debt is catching up with them — the fog, the small mistakes, the short fuse — feel like themselves again through yin and yoga nidra, without waiting for life to slow down. - Constraint-forward (leads with "I can't fix the situation yet"): I help women stuck in a season they can't sleep their way out of feel rested and clear-headed anyway — through yin and yoga nidra — so you can function now, not once things finally settle. - Short and casual, in your voice (leads with the hook question): Can't get more sleep but still have to show up? I help you feel more rested and clear-headed through yin and yoga nidra — without an earlier bedtime or a calmer life first

@Susanne Rieker I think it got looped in again on the new mothers aspect, which is who I am and my friend but not the people who come to me. I get tangled because my in-person class isn't for new mothers and I have no intent for it to be because there is no need for those in my town, they exist and aren't full, and the time is off. I think the key is falling asleep faster and falling asleep when they wake. They want sleep to come easier and deeper.

Are these ideas along the lines of still being commercial enough? The Deep Rest Reset — Follow My 5-Day Yoga Nidra Routine to Wake Up Clearer on the Sleep You're Already Getting (Even If You Can't Get to Bed Earlier) The Clarity Reset — Get My 5-Day Bedtime Nidra Practice to Lift the Brain Fog & Feel Steady the Next Day (Even If Your Life Won't Slow Down) OR The Night Owl's Rest Reset — Master My 5-Day Wind-Down to Fall Asleep Faster & Wake Clearer (Even If You're a Night Owl in a Morning Person's World) Freebie possible names: The One-Night Reset — one bedtime practice for deeper rest tonight, even on the sleep you're already getting Wake Up Clearer Tomorrow — the 15-minute bedtime practice that lifts tomorrow's fog before it starts Fall Asleep Faster Tonight — a wind-down for busy, wired minds that won't switch off Do these hit hard enough from a commercial pain-point type perspective or need a bit more?

I’d love to see what everyone here is doing! Drop your website in the comments below 👇 and tell us a little bit about who you help and what you offer. And while you’re here, take a few minutes to check out some of the other websites too. We have so many yoga teachers and wellness entrepreneurs from all over the world in this challenge, and I think it’s really fun to see what everyone is doing. Don’t have a website yet? No problem at all. Share your Instagram, YouTube channel or wherever we can find you online instead. 💖 I’ll start with mine: susannerieker.com - and I'm using Showit as my website builder and host.

Mine isn't quite as pretty as my Showit site used to be lol don't judge as a fellow website designer. I'm on OfferingTree now but it does a good job at filling my existing one class a week https://www.adriannejerrett.com/

@Susanne Rieker Thank you! They can be a bit janky sometimes I was determined not to let it lol. Had to figure out how to code my header font in. Thank you AI I wouldn't have figured it out otherwise lol. A lot of steps involved
🎥 Day 4 replay is here! And that’s a wrap! 🎉
We did it! Four days of the $1K Honey Flow Challenge are officially a wrap. 💖 Today we took everything we’ve worked on this week and mapped it out over the next 12 months. Because you don’t need to build your whole online business at once. You just need to know what to focus on first, what comes next, and what can wait. We looked at how I would build it step by step, starting with your Honey Flow offer, then your freebie and funnel, your content and promotions, and working towards that first $1,000/month in digital offer sales. And then we looked at the bigger picture too: how you can eventually add a premium offer, evergreen sales and paid ads to grow beyond that first $1K. 🎥 WATCH THE DAY 4 REPLAY HERE And remember, there’s no rush to get through everything immediately. I’m keeping this community and all four replays open for another 7 days, so use the time to catch up, go back through anything you want to watch again, and start working through your roadmap. Thank you SO much for being part of this challenge. I’ve loved seeing all your ideas, questions and conversations in here this week. 💖
