@Elizabeth Bautista of course! Thanks for the great question. I just made a questions tab so we can keep all of the info in once place! Feel free to ask more questions here as they come! https://www.skool.com/digital-art-with-adriane-9035/qa-ask-your-questions-here?p=24b4c03d

@Jeremy Fuscaldo I haven’t used Weebly but on Squarespace (the platform I use) they allow you to switch between seeing desktop and mobile. Some platforms allow you to be able to change the dimensions and scale easier than others. If you’re having trouble with a home page you don’t necessarily need one! My home page is my illustration portfolio so it takes you straight there

@Christen McCreavy hi Christen! That’s amazing! Are you planning to purely illustrate or you’re writing as well? Both are completely different and viable options! In traditional publishing, the typical path is to find an agent first. You can do so by querying agents on query manager. You don’t pay anything, the publisher pays you and your agent takes a cut. The self publishing route takes more upfront investment, time, and marketing on your end. If you’re illustration-only, self pub tends to be more work for less pay with riskier clients, but there’s loads of jobs available. Definitely pros and cons to both. They’re very different paths!

@Christen McCreavy Yes, the website Query Manager! Most agents prefer submissions there vs email. You can submit as an author-illustrator!

Hey everyone, For Kidlitart postcard, I made a drawing that was inspired by a meme that I made a year ago. I may make this a physical postcard for printing and want to check on how the perspective and color is.

Love it!!
Drawing tip from Witch Hat Atelier
I just finished season 1 of Witch Hat Atelier and one of my favorite things from the art is how they add THICKNESS to the fabrics! There are multiple ways we can do this: 1. Overlapping or showing thickness from where fabrics overlap each other (ie. layers on hat, ties over pants) 2. Showing edges and seams where fabric is sewn together 3. Following the form with shading especially if using hatching lines What are your favorite parts of Witch Hat Atelier's art style? *no spoilers please!
