Appreciation post for this group, and Jaguar's work.
Wanted to take a moment here and share how much this group, and Jaguar impacted my life and work I do. I am 31, father of 2 kids (second one on the way). Last year was one of the hardest for me and my family. We had mold spread in our apartment and it affected our health, just as we started to look for new apartments I lost my job and with that steady income. On top of that, my younger sister lost her leg (almost her life) in a boat accident. My family was in every newspaper and portal in my country..they destroyed us mentally and emotinally with lies about my sister. Trying to provide and take care of my kid and wife, living as nomad, while supporting my parents and not knowing if my sister will survive stretched me. Few months passed, and finally some quiet time came and I was able to get some cash flow in and get a new place...but I was wrecked. I gained weight, lost drive, passion for my work and life, turned against God..I was so dancing between drowning and spiraling in chaos of emotions, to blowing up at my wife, and brothers around me. Of course I asked for support from men in my space, my men's circle, did practices that always worked before, and tried to push myself to do 'fix' myself only to crash back down. Nothing worked, and nothing made sense. Until I slowly started to gain small wins, build trust in myself and have taken aligned action. We are in much stronger place now, living in close to nature, eating good food I am working a solid job while also coming back to my passion and working as a coach. I am sharing this because Jag's work, and his understanding of struggle, evolution and path that men walk in their life brought so much understanding, hope and most importantly grounded, tangible structure for navigating challenges but also melting down those invisible walls I created (prisons) in my life. I am so grateful for this group, what we have here from resources and people who are ready to do this work because many of spaces I have been lack this grounded, real life approach.
