This number is very special to my heart, and I just had to share this little moment. We now have 77 beautiful souls in our community. I know the animals are celebrating right along with us! Thank you for being here and loving the animals with me! ❤️ 🐾🦋

We finally have another update on Snow, and it is good news! Snow continues to heal and is in good spirits. She is eating, resting, stretching and flapping her wings normally, and enjoying her time outside. She is getting closer to moving into a larger enclosure and gradually working her way back to the big flight enclosure. Her team plans to take more X-rays to check how her wrist fracture is healing. Once she gets the all-clear, Snow can get back to flight conditioning with the other eagles and continue preparing for release. After everything this girl has been through, Snow is on her way! 🦅❤️ Keep healing, Snow. The wild is waiting for you.

After a 2.5-day road trip, Sandro has officially arrived at Elephant Sanctuary Brazil and he is enjoying his new home! He's already making mud, eating fresh fruits and veggies and cut grass, and calmly exploring his new digs. He did incredibly well throughout the journey, and now this big, gorgeous boy gets to settle in and discover what sanctuary life is all about. Welcome home, Sandro! 🐘❤️

I received a good-news text this morning that made my day! After more than four decades at the Sorocaba City Zoo in Brazil, Sandro is beginning his journey to a better life at Elephant Sanctuary Brazil, operated by Global Sanctuary for Elephants. When he arrives, Sandro will become the sanctuary’s first male Asian elephant. This has been years in the making, and I am so excited that we get to follow along as Sandro makes his way home. 🐘 Follow Sandro’s journey here. Safe travels, Sandro.
