Prostate Paladin Newsletter - Issue 17 - September 30, 2026
Three men this week, and every one of them kept asking after somebody had already given them an answer. One was told in 2021 he did not have cancer, carried on watching his PSA anyway, and was caught in 2025 before it got away from him. Another asked whether there was a treatment that would let him stay active, and nine years on his PSA is still negligible. There is also the single most useful number I have printed in a while: if a close relative was diagnosed, start asking ten years before the age he was. Awareness is key - which is what Prostate Paladin has been saying all along. Use one of these to start the conversation with the man in your life. It is a blood test, and it takes a mountain of worry off him. https://www.skool.com/prostate-paladin-4886/about

This was really helpful, especially the part about knowing when to start checking based on family history. There’s a lot here I didn’t know before joining.
Welcome to Prostate Paladin — You Are in the Right Place 💙
Hey, welcome — really glad you are here. Before you do anything else — introduce yourself and tell us where you are flom and what your goal is. Grab your free copy of the Quick Family Guide to the Prostate. It covers the basics, includes the IPSS symptom test, and has a doctor checklist you can print and take to the next appointment. It is a good place to start. Follow this up with the other guides - to the DRE and the Signs Families Miss. The Guides are in the Classrtoom Tab at the top of this page - They are all Free My name is Alex. Sixteen years ago a friend pulled me aside in an airport and told me I had a prostate problem I didn't even know about. I went home, opened a browser, and found almost nothing useful — some medical jargon, a few scary headlines, and no one talking to regular people in plain language about what any of it meant. So I started building the thing I couldn't find. Prostate Paladin exists because prostate health affects every man — and the people around him — and yet it is one of the least talked about topics. The men won't bring it up. The families don't know how to start the conversation. And the internet is so full of noise it is hard to know what to pay attention to. That ends here. Here is what you will find in this community: Prostate Basics — clear, plain-language information about what the prostate is, what can go wrong, and what is normal at every age. The Conversation Corner — practical help for partners, children and families who want to start the conversation but aren't sure how. Symptoms, Tests & Diagnosis — what the tests mean, what the results tell you, and what questions to ask the doctor Treatment Options & Real Stories — what is available, what others have experienced, and how to move forward with confidence. One thing I want you to know: you are probably here because someone in your life has a prostate issue — and they are not talking about it. That is one of the most common situations in this community. You are not alone, and you are not overstepping by wanting to know more.

Hi Alex, thanks for the warm welcome. I’m new here and looking forward to learning more about prostate health and getting to know everyone in the community.
How to Get the Most From the Prostate Paladin Classroom
The Prostate Paladin Classroom is designed to take you from understanding the basics of prostate health through to practical information you can use for yourself or someone you care about. If you're starting from the beginning, begin with Welcome to Prostate Paladin and then move into Start Here – Prostate 101 Awareness. These sections give you the foundation and help you understand the prostate, where it is, what it does and what changes with age. Once you have the basics, Prostate 201 – Understanding takes you deeper into topics including BPH, prostatitis, prostate cancer, symptoms, the DRE, PSA, imaging, biopsy and understanding a diagnosis. The Classroom also contains practical guides you can use when a particular situation comes up. These include resources for families, starting conversations, preparing for a doctor's appointment, understanding the DRE and PSA testing, and learning more about home PSA tests and prostate supplements. You don't have to go through everything in one sitting. Start with the basics, work through the Classroom at your own pace, and return to the practical guides whenever you need them. Head over to the Classroom and begin with “Welcome to Prostate Paladin.”
