G'day
G'day all, new guy here and new(ish) guy to the sport. Loved it all my life but finally decided to get right in last October. Don't have a handicap yet, but am working at it.... if I can make these apps work properly. But until I do, I'm just gonna enjoy myself out there. Any questions for me, just ask, I'm an open book. Look foward to meeting all of you 🤙

@Owen McMahon haven't been there since I was 14. I lived in Culburra Beach
🏌️ Weekend Round Up – We’re Back in Action… Hopefully
Bit of a catch-up post this week! I’ve been buried in editing, so apologies if things have been a little slack in here lately. We should be back to the regular schedule next week. I’ve also been working on some longer-form YouTube stuff. If you’ve got a spare 30 minutes, here’s me playing 18 holes at Gungahlin Lakes in Canberra the other week - no talking, just golf: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1H4ACtydG0 I’ll also be releasing another video soon where I actually talk through my decisions, shot choices and what I’m trying to do on the course. 😴 My irons have been ASLEEP Since getting back from my trip, my irons have completely disappeared. Golf is a funny game. Something you feel like you’re doing pretty well can suddenly decide it wants absolutely nothing to do with you. For anyone newer to golf: be ready for this. It happens! I’ve been trying to work out what was going wrong all week, and I’m pretty sure it was mostly tempo - rushing from the top and trying to hit the absolute cover off the ball. This afternoon I tried exaggerating the Hideki Matsuyama/Tiger-style pause at the top. Bang. 💥 We are back in action. That little pause gave me time to transition rather than immediately throwing everything at the ball. If you feel like your swing is getting quick, give it a try at the range and see what happens. 🐅 Another Tiger tip… Tiger might also have put me back on the path to becoming a confident chipper. I saw a video of him talking about having both feet pointing more forward/open when chipping, allowing the shoulders to stay open through impact. Ball more towards the front foot, then use the clubface to dictate the flight. I’ve been messing around with it for the last couple of days and… dang, it feels good. Give it a run while you’re getting amongst this month’s Chipping Challenge. Because it went up a little late, we’ll let this one run into September so everyone has plenty of time to have a crack.

See I think my irons are great. Gonna ditch the driver entirely on my next round, see if it improves my score
Welcome Back...
Par 3 Course ... First time holding a club in about 2 months. This has got to change Injury is still lingering but I managed to play (41 🤦🏼‍♂️) the local par 3 course. Game needs WORK but I'm taking this as my sign to improve on the worst part of my game while I can... Because it's all that I can physically do.
Welcome Back...

Good stuff getting back in. No better feeling than grabbing your clubs after recovery.
