I can’t believe people believe in Scientology…
Just ran into a Scientologist…..please pray for me lol. How is it even possible to believe that ā€œall religionsā€ are true and to be affirming. They literally all contradict each other and the only one that makes logical sense with historical and axiomatic evidence is Christianity…….I say this with mountains of research, science, 25,000 documents, 500 eye witnesses of Jesus’ resurrection, archeological evidence etc on stand by. Like how could allll religions be true? And this idea we can make up our own religion or morals is so folly. What if I want to create a religion about robbing banks, or that murder is okay…that’s how we get genocide. Like in what world are we just going to make up our own rules……People want heaven with zero accountability or faith… The best part….I WAS JUST AS LOST!!! I used to have ZEEEEERO idea about Jesus, frolicking in the fields of sin and pleasure. Zero idea of the evidence. I used to make up my own ideas of what was good or bad or whatever the world or social media said….So how could I complain?🤣 we ought to be respectful, patient, and KIND to people that don’t know Jesus especially because I was there at one point. Most people like myself just need to hear the good news that they are loved, and that there’s grace. Praise God that someone had grace with me to sit down with me and walk me though the gospelā™„ļøā™„ļøā™„ļø Anyway just needed to vent this and share🤣 Anyone else think about this or had this kind of experience?

What is the actual evidence that they provide for these claims to be true? What is the axiomatic evidence that they put forth to claim that these things are true? 1. Personal Experience / Anecdote The primary "proof" Scientology offers is subjective: you will feel better after auditing. They argue that the process works because people report feeling clearer, more confident, and more capable. This is anecdotal and unfalsifiable — it also describes the placebo effect. 2. L. Ron Hubbard's Authority Hubbard positioned himself as a researcher and scientist, but his claims were never peer-reviewed or independently verified. He essentially said "I discovered this" and asked followers to accept it on his authority. His credentials were largely fabricated or exaggerated. 3. The E-Meter as "Science" They present the E-meter (a basic galvanic skin response device — essentially a lie detector variant) as scientific instrumentation that detects engrams. However, the device measures skin conductivity in response to stress — it detects nothing that corroborates the existence of Thetans or engrams. The FDA actually ruled in the 1970s that their medical claims for it were fraudulent. 4. Circular Internal Logic Their framework is self-sealing: if auditing doesn't work, it's because you have more engrams to clear, not because the system is flawed. This makes it impossible to falsify — a hallmark of pseudoscience, not legitimate inquiry. 5. "Try It and See" This is their most common argument — essentially a pragmatic appeal. They invite people to do a free personality test or introductory course and judge by results. This is a sales technique, not evidence.
