New Things are Coming!
Hey guys, it's time to give you an update! Full transparency, I closed my print shop. I've been helping a lot of people with their social media recently, and it just took too much time away from running the actual shop. So I had to make a decision. I love marketing / social media and just want to focus on that and help others grow their business. It's what I'm most interested in and best at. All of my time is now being focused on the best ways to grow. Which is good for you, because I can now start sharing that! So here's what is coming over the next week: - All new classroom based around social media growth (adding 2 of the courses today) - access to me 1-on-1 anytime for help with your social media strategy and video creation - 40% affiliate commission for every member you refer to the group - And anything else that you find interesting (would love your feedback!) This group will be open to anyone who has a print shop, not just metal prints. I hope that we can share different types of printing methods, and everyone can grow together on social media. I will keep you updated this week as the new features are released. Thanks everyone, Rush

@Rush Decatur thanks, I’m taking a slightly different approach. I have so much photography images on my tik tok. Im focused on building a Shopify account. I recently opted in, just trying to find the time to build it out. I figured I can yield a higher profit as selling my photography as art can yield a higher price point. Let’s see if I’m right

Selling on Facebook Marketplace
Hey guys, I've recently thought of a new way to sell your prints, and I wish I had thought of it sooner. Selling on Facebook Marketplace. This is such an underrated opportunity. I have been doing this with different items for the past 10 years. I buy and sell items locally all the time, and it's my favorite thing to do. I had never thought to sell custom prints, but its the perfect way for a lot of you. 1. You get to sell locally, which customers love. 2. It's free to post as many listings as you want. 3. You can offer shipping services. 4. You can boost the listing (with money) to show it to even more people. Normally, you will see service businesses (ex. lawn mowing) posting on here, and it works amazingly well for them, so I think it would work great for you as well. Here is what I would do: 1. Try to get unique local photos (ex., I live in Charleston, so getting local ocean or town photos). 2. Print each picture onto a print and take a photo of it in a nice setting. 3. Post 5-10 separate marketplace listings showcasing your work and offering custom prints. 4. Make it clear in the listing that you offer custom services. I dont know if marketplace is available in every country, but if you live in the U.S., this is the #1 way that I would get started. (If you've never used it, click the sidebar on Facebook and scroll until you see "Marketplace".) It's completely free, so you have nothing to lose. Good luck!

@Rush Decatur late to the party here. Unfortunately 2025 I had to slow things down a bit. Although I had every intention to promote and really get aggressive with metal prints, personal hardships and unforeseen work challenges had me hit the pause button a bit. I’m so close, and just reading this message today was the exact catalyst I needed to not stop on this venture. My brother in law and I were just talking about Facebook marketplace place. I plan to test the waters and see where it goes. 🤞🏼

Printing Images Larger Than Your Heat Press
Hey guys was just wondering how you print larger images if your heat press is smaller than your print. I have a 15 x 15 heat press but want to print a 12 x 18 image. is it as simple as starting with one side and then pressing the next or would you need to buy the bigger press?

Hello @Caito Coloma i can’t speak for everyone, but would think if you were pressing textile/fabrics it would be more forgiving. Metal prints can be more sensitive and my suggestion would be to get the larger press. I started with a 16”x20” and just receive my new 31”x39” to do large format prints.

Probably the best bet, otherwise your limited to pressing 11x14 as your largest print @Caito Coloma
Table
What kinda set up are y’all using? Like your table and shelves

@Tony Maddix i have an office upstairs that contains my metal prints, computer and printer. I keep my press in my garage and have a pair of heavy duty work bench’s like the one pictured below
Print size
Just curious how much larger do you print your images out for the bleed edge?

Hello @Tony Maddix , I print my images .2 larger . So for example if I have an 11”x14” metal print. I would print 11.2”x14.2”
