Just Joined an AI Sales Company With Zero Experience 🚀
Honestly, I have zero sales background. No prior experience. I just joined an AI Sales company and decided to learn everything through real hands-on experience instead of only watching courses online. My goal is simple: learn fast, improve my communication skills, understand how clients think, and build a strong foundation that will help me when I start my own startup in the future. Right now, I want to learn from people who are already in the sales space 👇 - Where should a complete beginner start? - How do you find and reach potential clients online? - How can you tell if someone is genuinely interested or just making inquiries? - What mistakes do beginners make most often? - What mindset helped you the most in sales? I’m here to learn, improve, and grow fast. Any advice would genuinely help 🙌

A 20 year old BCA student asking the real ones — what's the one skill I actually need?
Hey everyone 👋 I'm Abhinav, 20, doing BCA (Data Science + AI). I'm not here to post a "motivational" update. I'm here to ask a real question to the real people in this community — the ones who actually work in tech, build things, and get paid for it. Here's my situation: I need to become financially independent. My annual budget — college fees, living, everything — is around $2,500. That's my number. I want to earn at least that on my own. I have time, I have a laptop, and I'm willing to learn hard. But I'm tired of generic "learn Python and DSA" advice. So I want to ask you directly. Three things I genuinely want to know: 1) The must-have skill — What is the one skill that, without it, you're invisible in today's job market or freelance world? The skill that's table stakes. The floor, not the ceiling. 2) The underrated skill — What's one skill that most people in tech overlook but quietly makes someone far more valuable or hireable than their peers? 3) The unique edge — What's one skill that feels niche or unconventional but is genuinely powerful in this era? The kind of thing that sets someone apart before they even have a portfolio.

@Tom Welsh This is genuinely one of the most useful replies I've gotten on here — and I've gotten a lot of generic ones. The point about tenacity hit different. I've definitely been guilty of bouncing between ideas when things got hard. Calling that out directly is the kind of honest feedback I was hoping for. The jargon tip is underrated too. Knowing what to call things changes how fast you can build and communicate — I hadn't thought about it that way. And your CV site looks clean. The fact that you built it through prompting actually makes the point better than any advice could. I'm going to start a GitHub repo this week and treat it seriously. One real project, even a small one. Thanks for taking the time — this was worth posting for.

@Tom Welsh The git workflow breakdown is exactly what I needed — I was doing the "push everything to main" thing and didn't even realise how risky that was. Preview branch from day one, noted. And that 80/20 split on programming vs research/docs/testing genuinely reframed how I'm thinking about this. I was measuring progress by lines of code. Wrong metric. I'll be on the call Tuesday (Wednesday 4am for me). Wide awake, no excuses. If CEOs and entrepreneurs are showing up weekly to a 20-person call, I'd be an idiot to skip it over sleep. See you there.
Looking for an Internship Opportunity in AI & Digital Space 🚀
Hello everyone! I’m currently looking for an internship opportunity where I can learn how real companies and startups work while also contributing with the skills I have. Over the past month, I’ve explored 50+ AI tools and learned a lot about the AI space. My skills include: • AI tools & workflows • Prompt Engineering • AI Agent Building • Digital Marketing • Social Media Marketing • Website Building • Script Writing for Content Creators • Content & online growth ideas I’ve also built websites for companies, hotels, and restaurants, which helped me understand client needs, online presence, and business branding better. Apart from that, I also help content creators with script writing and content ideas. So if you’re a creator looking for someone to help with engaging scripts, I’d love to help with that too. I also have certification experience in AI agent building and prompt engineering. I’m someone who genuinely loves technology, AI, startups, and learning new things. Right now, my goal is to work with smart people, gain real-world experience, and provide value wherever I can. And if there are any founders, entrepreneurs, or business owners quietly reading this post and thinking, “We actually need someone like this”... well, this is probably your sign to hire me 😄 Would love to connect with amazing people and learn from them. Thank you!

AI Developer Accelerator — Coaching Call - May 5th
AI Developer Accelerator — Coaching Call - May 05 VIEW RECORDING - 71 mins (No highlights) Meeting Purpose Review AI projects and discuss developer tool strategies. Key Takeaways - Data Preprocessing is Key: Patrick's "Community Brain" RAG project shows that meticulous data preprocessing (costing ~$30) is the most valuable step, yielding an ~80% performance match to Opus with a local GPT-OSS model. - New AI Dev Stack: Superpower is emerging as a critical framework that enables a shift from Claude to Codex. This move is driven by Claude's recent performance issues and Codex's new, more generous $100/mo tier. - Hardware-Software Synergy: Morgan's Raspberry Pi kiosk engine provides a robust, offline-first display solution, which Juan plans to integrate with his "AI Booth Studio" for dynamic event content. Topics AI Developer Stack: Claude vs. Codex - Problem: Developers are experiencing performance degradation with Claude, including increased token usage and slower response times, leading to frustration and stalled progress. - Solution: Shifting to Codex, with Superpower as the common development harness. Superpower provides a consistent, high-quality development experience across platforms (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex). Codex's new $100/mo tier offers more generous usage limits than Claude's equivalent plan. - Transition Strategy: Patrick: Plans to switch from Claude Max to Codex Max next month. Paul: Will adopt Codex and Superpower to resolve a stalled project. Bastian: Shared methods for remote access to a local Codex instance (QR code or SSH).
