Greetings to all
I am Abeer Started playing since I was 18, it's been 10 years now. My drumming goal these days has been making my playing more deliberate and then plug any gaps in my playing. I'm achieving that at the moment by working on my left bass drum foot (weak foot), and practicing open/close these days in the hands. I try to focus ONLY on the task during practice. Huge thanks to Sir Ian and SickDrummer team. The drum videos are a constant source of inspiration. My favorite one is the Matt Thompson video playing Welcome Home by King Diamond. Cheers 🍻

@Kieren Hutchison hehehe Yes! I bought his single stroke and morphing double stroke rolls books. I have not incorporated into my playing as a primary technique, but am doing 8ths in the 120-125bpm range, and 16ths in the 100bpm range for the past few months. It's a quite different motion from what I am used to. I have muscle memory already developed in other motions so open/close is looking more like something to supplement my practice.

@Kieren Hutchison Awesome! I'm happy to hear you're actually following the book! You're gonna be ripping zero-effort blasts in no time:) and metal sticks are a great call. Sounds like you picked up Gordy's gospel pretty well haha, he's a really great player! This evening I tried out chapter 1 of Riccardo Merlini's Killer Speed Secret book, so after tonight my practice program did change significantly. Let's see where that takes me.
