Church this past Sunday was about Genesis 2 where Adam couldn't find a suitable helper for himself in all creation, so God made Eve. This is the first marriage. God designed Eve to be a perfect fit for Adam. Adam described her as "bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh." This is partly because she was formed out of his rib, but it also shows how unified they are. Sin no doubt causes disunity between men and women and husband and wife, but the institution of marriage was designed by God and something we should fight for and be extremely thankful for. The world tries to tear down the nuclear family and marriage between one man and one woman. We should approach marriage the way God intended it
