Why you can't lock in on your business
You can't focus because there's no deadline. Let me explain. You sit down to work. No pressure. No timer. Just "I'll get it done whenever." And what happens? You spend 3 hours on something that should've taken 30 minutes. Because there's no urgency. No fire under your fucking ass. Here's the fix: Set a deadline. Even if it's fake. This is called Parkinson's Law: work expands to fill the time you give it. Give yourself a week to write a script? It'll take a week. Give yourself an hour? You'll get it done in an hour. Why? Because deadlines activate your sympathetic nervous system. That's the part of your brain that kicks in during stress... in other words, your "fight-or-flight". It sharpens your focus. Kills distractions. Forces you to lock in. Without a deadline, your brain has no reason to take the work seriously. So it doesn't. But the second you set a timer? Your brain activates the SNS. "Oh shit, we don't got time." So here's what you do: Next time you sit down to work, set a timer. 30 minutes. 1 hour. Whatever. And tell yourself: "I'm getting this done before the timer goes off." No extensions. No "just 5 more minutes." When the timer starts, you work. When it ends, you're done. That's it. Stop giving yourself all the time in the world. Because when you do, you'll waste all of it. Set the deadline. Create the pressure. And watch how fast you work. Parkinson's Law, bro. Use it.

How to stop procrastinating on your business
You're not procrastinating because it's hard. You're procrastinating because you're being a dumbass. Let me break this down for you. There's this principle called Occam's Razor: the simplest solution is usually the right one. And the solution to procrastination? It's so simple it'll piss you off. But first, let's talk about what you're doing wrong. You think procrastination is some complex psychological problem you need to solve. So you buy planners. You watch YouTube videos. You make to-do lists and color-code your calendar. And then you sit there and do absolutely nothing. Because you're stalling. You're hiding behind "preparation." There's a word for it: productive procrastination. So here's the truth you need to hear: Procrastination is just inaction. And inaction is destroyed by action. That's it. That's the whole thing. That's all you need to know. You don't have some deep-rooted trauma blocking you. You're not "waiting for motivation." You're not "not in the right headspace." You're just not doing the work. And the fix? Stop being a little boy and start. I'm not talking about finishing the whole essay. I'm not saying solve all 20 math problems. I'm saying: take the smallest possible action and stop making excuses. Write your name at the top of the paper. Write the date. Write the title of your essay. That's it. Ten seconds of work. "But I don't feel like it—" I don't care. "But I'm not ready—" You'll never be ready. "But what if it's not perfect—" It won't be. Do it anyway. Because here's what actually happens when you start: The resistance vanishes. The second you take that first tiny action, your brain switches modes. Suddenly the next step doesn't feel impossible. You write your name, and the first sentence comes easier. You write the first sentence, and before you know it, you're 30 minutes deep and the work is getting done. But you'll never know that if you keep sitting there making excuses. So stop overthinking it. Stop planning. Stop "getting ready."
