Coaching Versus Selling
I’ve been listening to a lot of sales calls from the coaches in Clients On Automation recently… …and the common theme is that most coaches fail to make sales easily because they over coach. The old ways of thinking that giving VALUE and COACHING means the client will buy from you does not work! Most coaches don't know how to give great value AND have their clients buy consistently. Most coaches give great value BUT the client does not buy. Sound familiar? I know some don’t like the word “sales” – I get it! But the truth is, as a coach, selling your coaching is the best thing you can do for a client. Always remember… …in “sales” your intention should always be to help your client. That’s it! So sales is coaching. Your clients’ current way of thinking has put them in the current position they are in. So when you’re on a sales call, what you need to do is to help your client shift their thinking. If your client already knew what to do and how to do it, then they would already have the result. But, as a coach, you must understand the psychology of selling as a coach specifically… …or else you’ll go too deep into coaching and the client will not buy. Worse than that though… …the client will still have their problem! You will not be able to fix your client’s problem completely in a 60-minute session. If your client is going to fix their problem, they will need to buy your service. Transformation takes time and effort. They need your support to fix their problem. The worst thing you can do for a client in your sales call is to have them think that what you have discussed is enough for them to solve their problem. They will only go away and the problem will get worse. Therefore, YOU MUST NOT COACH ON THESE SESSIONS! You will still give high value in your sales call. Because of your sales call, the client will be able to understand their problem on a deeper level. They will be clear on the method they can take to get rid of their problem. They will know the path to take that will eradicate the problem.

Solid Session Structure
Hi, I want to clarify it the idea is to go through the entire session structure in one session, ETDBRCT. I thought I heard Ed mention in later on in one of the videos that we may have seperate sessions for Diagnose, Break, Retrain and Compound. Also, what are people saying for Expectation and what Tasking are you setting right at the beginning? Is that task at the beginning the same tasking to conclude the session? Thanks,

@Alexandra Corless Thank you.
Getting uncomfortable
I’ve had a break through just now. For too long I’ve wanted to coach veterans and first responders. To serve them in a way that wasn’t available to me when I needed it most. But I’ve held back - Worried about what people might think of me coaching (veterans and first responders can be a judgemental bunch!) This community and @Ed JC Smith have inspired me to take action. As Sir Richard Branson says, ‘Screw it, let’s do it’. So I’ve just sent a message to a mate proposing he’s my first (free) client. I’ve been informally coaching him as it is and he is the perfect avatar for my services: - Former cop - PTSD(G) - Struggling to regulate emotions - Relationships suffering as a result (wife, children, friendships) Thank you to everyone in this community who have been so inviting, supportive and encouraging. You really have inspired me to take action. I’m excited to start my coaching practice! Have an amazing day! 🙏

Welcome, @Kerry Manthorpe
I've been lying...
I walk up to Kern and give him a long hug and I'm smiling. He is looking at me and we just have a quiet genuine embrace. The kids are all asleep. I join him on the couch as he is watching TV. Kat: I have been lying about so much being your fault. I have been blaming you for feeling diminished in my career and unimportant somehow... The Truth is you do so much for so many who may not appreciate you, but I do. I love you, you are my rock. The cost of the lie is that It has allowed me to avoid responsibility for healing past anger and pain that has been getting in my way. I am committing everyday to supporting you. (Kern turns the TV off and looks at me. I'm holding his feet) he looks at me and sais: Kern: " You are my rock. You are such a beautiful woman. Sometimes I am afraid of how much love I feel for you. You are an amazing person." Kat: ( tears are flowing) Kern: are you alright Kat: have you ever heard the expression tears of joy? Kern: yes Kat: well, these are not. I just didn't realise how much anger I needed to let go of. I just feel a sense of release. I've been wasting energy on allowing myself to be drawn into the some of the wrong aspects of relating to others for too long. ( We sit in silence holding each other feet.) Kern: I know what you mean, I've been doing the same thing at work. We can all do that.( This conversation goes on for quite a while) Kat: Have you heard of The last Avatar Air bender? Kern: Let's watch the first episode. @Ed J C Smith - Thank You Ed. That is what I needed and this time it was exact. We felt very connected in that moment. I also so appreciate the emotional decharge. I am on a new mission to heal all the relationships in my life that have stored pain for too long.
