Budgeting Doesn't Have to Suck!
Budgeting can actually be fun, and more importantly, it’s about freedom. Remember that feeling of swiping your card and thinking, “Please go through, please go through…”? Yeah, that’s not freedom. Freedom is knowing your priorities are covered and you don’t have to stress every time you want to do something fun with your family or friends. Budgeting is really just about setting your own priorities. For example, in our house, we realized what we valued most was experiences—not stuff. So, we quit grabbing energy drinks and junk at the gas station and stopped eating out so much. Instead, we cook together, which honestly is kind of a blast (and my kids get to laugh at my “creative” attempts at following recipes, haha). We tracked it, and that move alone saved us $300-600 a month. Now, that goes straight into our “fun/experiences” bucket—literally, we opened a separate account for it. If we want to go hunting, take the kids to the beach, or plan a last-minute trip, it’s a quick yes or no. No more drama, no more guilt, just simple decisions. Bottom line: Budgeting gives you permission to enjoy your money in the way you actually want. It’s not about deprivation. It’s about getting intentional so you can actually say yes to the stuff that matters most, without stress. So, I’m curious—what do you value? What would you want to set aside money for if you got intentional with your budget?

@Sam Lynch, thank you so much for this encouraging post (even though I am 9 days late to respond😁). Ever since I have decided to get serious with my budgeting especially when focusing on growing on my business and building financial freedom, this community has given me much to do that. So thank you again for this insight. What I value to most lately is building memories and experiences with my family and friends. The goal is to determine most efficient ways to secure financial freedom while still doing the things we love as a family.
5 DAY CHALLENGE
It's now day 6 of the 5 day challenge, been waiting to get day 5 unlocked. I realized that everyone is busy but to matain momentum and keep people engaged. The next step in the journey has to be available when the required task is successfully completed. I know this because I have been there, as I'm sure we all have as military members. "HURRY UP AND WAIT " sound familiar. I have been more active in this community than any other social media forum. Why? I believe in and have bought into the mission. SO LET'S GO, TIME TO TURN & BURN, LOCK & LOAD.

@Kevin Coles , same here. I’ve been busy these past few weeks but I haven’t forgotten about this community. So let’s go!
What is your Target
You joined this community because you are currently serving or have served in the military, which means you know what commitment means and you want to be involved with like minded people. GREAT! Also you want to be a millionaire. The question is how committed are you. Only you know the answer. This community has 120+ members, but very few people are actually active and engaged. If you want to be a millionaire, multi millionaire, or a billionaire you first have to know your target. I would ask ALL 120 + members to post your target. My target is 1 BILLION in 10 years!!! I'm starting from zero. Who wants to help me get there, and more importantly how can I help you reach your target.

@Kevin Coles, that is definitely something you have given the community to think about. My goal is to have a networth of 70 million within 10 years and have financial freedom (God willing). Besides the financial freedom that I am seeking and building generational wealth for me and my family, my target goal is to be able to assist our armed brothers and sisters that are going through hard times through education and resources. I have seen many veterans lose their properties by being taken advantage by the banks. I know that being in this community, I will be able to accomplish it by leveraging experiences and resources to reach that goal.
Day 4
Day 4 complete. I currently make about 1700 a month. My financial freedom number would be around 15k a month. Hopefully this community will help.

@Sam Lynch that’s pretty awesome advice you’ve given @Jason Ampratwum to find the why for that number. While I have a number in my head by knowing the why is definitely a motivator.
Goal Setting
Since we are all part of this community I assume we are here to rea h a goal. Most comments refer to financial Freedom through REI. We are all reaching for the same group goal, so how do we achieve that? As for me I think taking FULL ADVANTAGE OF THIS COMMUNITY will help reach the goal sooner How you might ask. Three suggestions: 1.) Stay Active in the community try to post a few times a week. 2.) Like other. member post to help support them and help us all level up. 3.) Set a weekly goal within the community. My goal for this week is reach level 3 by 30 June. To achieve the goal I need your help. Like and comment on my post, as I will be doing the same.

@Kevin Coles, that’s a good way to start and to also apply as you focus on reaching your goal of financial freedom thru REI.
