Scraper Taken Down -- What Does It Mean?
Curious, but not unexpected development, with one of the data scrapers being taken down. We talked about this in today's Intellectual Property 101 for AI Entrepreneurs legal masterclass. This goes back to your AI tools need to comply with the terms of service/use for your providers/vendors. I think the particular scraper in the image was scraping LinkedIn data. This is going to affect lead generation services. Your thoughts? Is anybody building lead generation workflows?

@David Chen You hit the nail on the head. Scraping is not a long-term approach. TOOLS like these may be blocked altogether in the future. On the same side of the coin, I'd be cautious of relying too heavily on AI generated content for your customer facing business (website). I'd further argue that dependence on AI may come back to bite us in the butt - for instance, a drop in our website search position/search rank. Wild Wild West (1997-2000) Think back to 1997-2000 - the Wild, Wild, West of the interwebs (did I just say "interwebs?" sorry.) You could 'get away with' nearly anything when it came to pushing your website to the top of the search engines. Spam? Hey forgettaboutit!! Anyone here remember the 2000 Google Algorithm update which included "Page Rank" in the tool bar? Even from 2001-2008, there were 'tricks' like article spinning, paid backlinks, etc to get website ranked higher up the Google search page. BUT, with each major Google Algo update, people who used tricks like these saw their websites fall down in position. If you're scraping articles and rewriting them or using AI to write "fresh" articles, check facts and check for plagiarism. Even just 1 sentence exactly the same as another article could be bad for your website. Don't write unnaturally, for example, keyword stuffing when no human would write that way. Yes, Claude is awesome, but so are you! Maybe use Claude to check what you wrote instead of asking 'him' to do it all? As former university instructor, I've seen the change firsthand. Humans written to AI written. I'm pretty good at spotting AI writing, and even AI assisted "replies" in Skool communities. If I can spot it, so can Google. I suspect so can you. The Constant FUNDAMENTALS You know what has never changed? Fundamentals. Providing quality content - relevant, engaging, valuable, fresh...and Readability; be human sounding, write for a human, not for a search engine. This is more important now than ever. Google loves that shXt!
Brief-of-the-Day
I've been quiet over the last couple of days... lots of 1:1 legal work with our law firm clients. Working on succession planning with one client. Do you have a succession plan for your business? Or have you thought about it at all? Would you like me to have a training on business succession planning? Working on entity re-structuring with another client. When is it time to go from an LLC or a corporation? Let me know in the comments if you'd like training on that.

Should You REALLY Be Looking for a Co-Founder in Skool or Reddit?
Scrolling through Skool, Reddit, or Discord, you’ll see countless posts from founders looking for a co-founder. But rushing into partnerships with strangers can create equity chaos, IP disputes, and investor red flags. In this video, I break down the hidden risks of online partnerships—and show you safer alternatives like trial projects, vesting schedules, and revenue share. -- Attorney Tatyana

I've heard of something called online dating, but online partnership-ing? That's a new one for me. Then again, the term "online dating" used to be laughed at back in the day. Who knows what the future holds.

@Tatyana Gray Etkin Absolutely. A few things we laughed at 20 years ago: Online Dating. Razors with five blades. Even YouTube. No more laughing. Mainstream. Keep one eye open to the "online partnershiping" landscape (FYI, I'm coining that word at this very moment! 😁) just to see where it goes. Who knows, in a year or two maybe some of us will have a business partnership with someone we've met here at Legal LaunchPad...with @Tatyana Gray Etkin structuring the partnership to protect both parties.
I got the 🔥
I love Skool! After consistent effort for 30 days, I got my fire icon. I don't know exactly what it means or how to best use it. Regardless, this community is growing, more entrepreneurs are getting legal education... my mission is moving forward. Thanks for being onboard!

🏆 Friday Wins – Legal Launchpad Edition
Crew—it's that time again: Friday Wins! 🥳 Building an AI business isn’t a straight line—it’s contracts, code, clients, and constant learning. Some weeks feel like rocket fuel, others like you’re just holding the pieces together. Either way—progress is progress. ⚖️ Remember: the same way strong contracts compound into strong protection, small wins compound into big momentum. This is your space to pause, reflect, and celebrate the steps you did take this week. 👉 What counts as a win? - Signed a client or shipped a feature - Took action on something you’ve been putting off - Learned a lesson (the easy way or the hard way) - Showed up when it would’ve been easier to check out - Supported someone else in their journey FORMAT TO POST YOUR WINS: 🔵 My wins for this week are:(1–3 things you moved forward. Doesn’t matter how small!) 🔵 Something I learned or noticed:(Quick reflection, insight, or lesson.) 🔵 Shoutout:(Optional—props to someone who supported or inspired you this week.) We’re celebrating all of it—the micro-wins, the messy progress, and the big leaps. 🚀 Let’s close the week strong and set up for an even better one ahead. 🔥

Small Wins: Decided on structure for new business, rescued my old Macbook Air 2013 11" and iMac 2017 giving them both a new OS - open source Linux (Mint)... 'cause we all know Apple does not support their overpriced products for much longer than 5 years even though they still work! A shout out to @Tatyana Gray Etkin for educating us and, if I'm being honest, inspiring me to do YouTube ("Oh I gotta finish learning how to make X or Y, Oh there is bad lighting in my room/haven't got the lights ordered or set up" are my sorry excuses). Of course Family picked up germs from our kid bringing it home from school so dealing with that as well! Every September seems like we go though this; instead of Back To School I think store ads should say Back To Sore Throats!
