Who is a visual person?
And if so do you like context first or do you dive straight into the detail? In other words do you zoom out on a map to get the general direction first or do you zoom in to see if you need to turn left or right next? Our Moodboard Scavenger Hunt will cover both. Join me 11-20th May. 1 task per day. P.s. This image is an example of a moodboard an 11 year old girl created for her bedroom.

Hmm good question. For dress patterns I look first at the technical sketch rather than the artists sketch or photo. For maps I tend to zoom out to get my bearings, then zoom in as the road gets more unfamiliar. Maybe Im both 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Jane Harbison not usually. I decided a few years ago to not save the "good fabric" for special occassions. Wear the nice things, we deserve it ☺️

This was taken some time ago when we looked after this kitten for a little while. The desk hasn’t changed.

Moodboard Scavenger Hunt: 11th - 20th May
Today's coffee call was a little different because I want to let you know about the Scavenger Hunt. Next week we will resume the colour combo sessions: Anytime during the week share a colour that you want put in a combination in the designated Colour Post and I will talk about it with you in next weeks coffee hour.

I had every intention to join you today. Sorry I missed it
Something moody is coming in May… 👀
Next month, I’m running a 10-day moodboard scavenger hunt inside the Pocket Square Club. It’s simple and works with what you already have around you. And by the end of it, you’ll have a clear starting point for your next project what ever that may be. Nothing overwhelming. Just one small decision each day to put on your board. It is a process I’ve taught many times over and the results are always beautifully original and useful. I’ll share more details soon — but for now, just know this: You won’t need anything fancy. Just a bit of curiosity and a willingness to collect ideas. Keep an eye out… it’s coming in second week of May. For now start to think of a project you want to build a moodboard for.
