@Paulo Costa, The Roaster makes sense!
Be controvertial
[ROAST MY LESSON] @Lidia Axe who is a great skooler prompted here about what she was doing wrong for only having 5 star review. And although this seems great, I do think there is a problem with this. Not that being loved on Skool is a problem, but that might mean that you could be more controvertial and that can be a good strategy for your online presence. Controversy and divisive opinions is how plenty of people grow big. It's how one of my clients got as big as he is. Strong divisive opinions generate clickable content, that creates emotional envolvement and strong following of both people that really love you and people that really hate you. I wrote a lot of negative rants against AI malpractice that fulled passionate debates with AI hypers. And it also lead me to some churn. But I know that I'm not doing enough to have those controvertial opinions echoing on the internet, if I was I might be bigger right now. One great example of a controvertial figure is Alex O'Connnor for being an atheist and debating religious leaders. Those influencers got really big and their haters do a big part of promoting them, maybe even more so than their fans. So don't be afraid to be divisive. Your genuine strong opinions make you stand out. This is not a prompt for you to fake a ludicrous exagerated persona to rage bait internet trolls. But to be outspoken about the stuff you don't agree with. That will make you stand out amongst the sea of tame people just selling services that everyone else is already hyping up.
Be controvertial

@Eric William well I don’t want to expose the exploits publicly and lead to customers getting compromised.. but the grades infer that. it’s a balance. I can’t really post on LinkedIn, not sure my employer would want that.

@Eric William Yeah, that's the point of the posts.. here is an example, this guy posted 10 github repos, I scanned and posted grades in the comments. These apps are all pretty good quality do it's not just designed to "tear people down" If you earn a good grade, you get one..
I need a few strangers to break my Mini App 💛
I’ve just shipped a small web-based app called Pay It Sideways, and I’ve reached the dangerous stage where I know exactly how it works… which means I’m now completely useless at judging whether it actually makes sense. 😂 The idea is simple: Someone sends you a private message of kindness, with the option of attaching a small amount of NIM (Nimiq cryptocurrency). You don’t need a crypto wallet to receive or read the message. If there’s NIM attached, you can choose to keep it or pass the kindness onwards. Try it here: https://pay-it-sideways.grand-sugar.workers.dev/first-kindness I need a handful of people who have never used it before to test the real journey on their phone. No 14-day testing. No review or rating. No crypto knowledge needed. Just - open it, use it naturally without me telling you what to press, keep or pass on any NIM you receive -it’s genuinely yours. Then tell me where you got confused, hesitated, or something broke Bonus points if you’re willing to screen-record your first attempt, because seeing where someone gets stuck is incredibly useful. If you try it, please let me know how you got on — especially if something confused you or didn’t work. That’s exactly what I need to find. And I’m very happy to return the favour and test something you’ve shipped too. 💛

@Kirsty Hawker OK so I can see you made some updates and now there’s a button to allow me to download the app.. I don’t want to install the app however there’s plenty of other crypto custody wallets out there, including ones with hardware support requiring the user to download another app just for this purpose seems like a high hurdle to cross. In 2016 I founded Bitphone. I figured out a way to allow people to send bitcoin to be placed in my custody while they used it to place phone calls around the world. in the back end funds were stored in Coinbase and I relied on their security to ensure the safety of customer funds. The service was never hacked and no customer funds ever lost. No app was required no downloads just go to a web browser. Connect your Web through Wallet and you’d be issued an address that you could deposit. Crypto people needed to trust me in that case so they sent small amounts just to test the service and when everything worked, the amounts would grow and people deposited bitcoin to place their phone calls. in 2026 the prevalence of bitcoin scams, probably outweigh legitimate Blockchain tokens. Users are scared to transact with even their existing wallets with MetaMask, etc. because there can be browser, tab, exploits, or other approvals attached to their wallets, which makes transferring funds risky. I think your service would be better if you could find a way to make them a token on an existing block chain where users could use their existing wallets and self custody devices to send transactions. It’s just my opinion, but I feel like that it’s gonna be your biggest hurdle. https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/5gxej6/bitphone_so_long_and_thanks_for_all_the_bits/

@Kirsty Hawker Good luck with your app! the idea is solid if you can surmount the trust hurdles.

@Eric William well that’s the whole point. It’s my digital twin doing the video. And I just scratched the surface and show you what tools I use not really how to do it. It’s fairly common knowledge members get a whole skill pack that helps them do it and walk-throughs and step-by-step instructions on everything.

@Eric William I fixed the discrepancies in the audio, thanks for the feedback! I got my first 5 star review!
What other platforms do you guys use?
It feels a bit like here in skool, we have communities where we go to learn something, so we pay, get the info & tools and we have to do the work, or "network" communities which used to be about connection, but now have turned into advertising billboards. So I am looking for other platforms where I can connect with people around my niche, and have discussions about common subjects, and yes, also through this to attract clients too... but where shall I look to? Are you guys using other platforms for connections and client attraction? If so, what is your experience there?

@Paulo Costa, The Roaster I don’t have much I want to talk about other than the stuff I’m pouring my soul into. Let”s just pretend I’m not! sure I can have conversations, but the whole point is to share what I’m working on. if people are asking for solutions to problems and my app is the solution. I can’t mention it or it’s self promotion. just seems dumb.. I never make it to DMs…. just get downvoted
