Here is an email from a friend of mine Hey Mitchell, When I finally set up my first welcome sequence in 2017 — eight years into my business — I had this moment of "Are you KIDDING me? Why didn't I do this sooner?" It was like finding out I could've been using the pully cord to open our patio umbrella instead of standing on my tiptoes, grunting and heaving it up by hand and nearly dislocating my shoulder every time. (True story. I'm a city girl.) So here's what I want you to take away from this week, whether or not you ever buy my workshop: At minimum, write ONE welcome email. Just one! In it: - Remind them what they signed up for (and give it to them again) - Tell them who you are (so they’re not all “WHO DIS” when they see you in their inbox) - Ask them to do ONE thing (reply, connect on social, check out your most popular post, video, or podcast episode) - Let them know what's coming next That's it. You could bang that out in 30 minutes. Is it as good as a full sequence that sells for you on autopilot? No. But beats the pants off radio silence or an abrupt sales sequence, which is what most people give their new subscribers. PS - Seriously though, even if you do nothing else: write that one welcome email. Future You will thank Today You.
