Post Your Breath Hold (Week 41: Oct 6th 2025 – Oct 12th 2025)
"𝘈𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘪 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘭𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 120+ 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘪 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘹𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘴𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 40-50, 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘮 𝘪 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘢𝘥 𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘴...?" Which one is better? Breath hold on inhale, or exhale? The answer is; it really depends. The main goal of the challenge is to build CO₂ tolerance. This may not be easy, or comfortable, at first (it's a challenge, after all). But stick to it; and you'll notice a sense of being in control; even when the going gets tough. Remember... 𝘾𝙊₂ 𝙏𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙄𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙂𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 - Most discomfort isn’t from lack of oxygen but from rising CO₂. - The goal isn’t to fight that feeling, but to get comfortable with it. - Over time your body and mind learn that the first urge to breathe isn’t an emergency. 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁? Be sure to follow the following Pro Tip to relieve some of the pressure; and break the two-minute barrier (or; whatever was your previous limit). 𝗣𝗿𝗼 𝗧𝗶𝗽: Fill up your lungs to about 70% of maximum capacity; or until you feel comfortable. Inhale fully; and gently release some air until the pressure on your chest feels more manageable. Until you hold your breath for 3-4 minutes or longer; the duration of the hold is going to be purely determined by your ability to stay calm; and the extra inhaled air does not offset the discomfort in the chest.

I have struggled a lot with co2 tolerance, still trying to break 3 min mark comfortably. Calmness is definitely key as you mentioned. One night I was doing my O2 table when I was extremely extremely sleepy and I was able to hold breath much longer than usual. Trying to keep mind calm during holds now

@Manuel Ruep Thank you, Trying that

Post all your Breath Hold Times here! Let's go & double your breath hold! 🧑‍🏫 Step 1: Take an inhale, start your stopwatch & hold your breath. Step 2: Post your time here so you can get feedback and points Step 3: Head on over to the Classroom & follow the instructions Already participated last week, or last month? No worries, you can post and do it as much as you want (as a matter of fact, we'd only encourage it 😎) And if you done the challenge once (or twice), feel free to shake it up a little bit. Do exhale breath holds only for a week, or take it easy and do 1-2 breath holds a day without going for a max. Variety is the spice of life.

Hi everyone, haven't posted in a while but still continuing my training. I do my CO2 table everyday and today had an amazing observation. Right after third or fourth hold, I checked in oximeter and my heart rate was 46 BPM! I wear smartwatch which tracks my heart rate and usually it drops in high 40s when I sleep but never when I'm awake, I couldn't capture the 46 mark but could still capture 49 when it started going up

@Manuel Ruep Yeah I do a lot of things and almost everything impacts the parasympathetic system. I've seen some great effects

Day 2 Couldn't do 3 min hold, held till 2:30
Post Your Breath Hold (Week 20: May 12th 2025 - May 18th 2025)
Hej all, How do you get to a 20+ minute breath hold? Well, first you get a tank of pure oxygen... and then... Oh... you want to safe & convenient practice you can do at home. Ok - you may not get to 20 minutes without the oxygen machine 🙃 Holding your breath as long as your fave song in your playlist? I'd say: Challenge accepted! Unless it is like November Rain (but even that can be done in theory). So - where to start? Every day, there is a new video in the Classroom. Post your times, share your experiences. And once you are done, come back for more (and shake things up a little!) Before you know it, you'll be a dolphin like Stig!

@Jorge A I used to Co2 tables Primarily but during long holds, I feel I get overwhelmed with thoughts and I'm not able to push further because of mental barrier so started doing O2 tables

Post Your Breath Hold (Week 19: May 5th 2025 - May 11th 2025)
Hej fellow 🐬's! This is the main post to post your breath holds time & share your experiences. You really want to do this because: - It keeps you accountable so you don't miss a day! - Every week you have the chance to win Breath Hold Mastery - You want to climb the Leaderboards and become the first Sea Turtle! - Because it is fun! - Oh - and something about CO2 tolerance, mental mastery and stuff... P.S. There are a total of 7 days to the challenge. Head on over to the Classroom for your first lesson!
