๐ŸŒŠ GLP Support by DesBio Natural, I focus on working with the bodyโ€™s natural design, not against it. GLP Support by DesBio is a really beautiful, gentle product that helps support insulin resistance, blood sugar balance, and metabolic health by mimicking the bodyโ€™s natural GLP-1 hormone. Hereโ€™s why that matters ๐Ÿ‘‡ ๐Ÿงฌ How GLP Support Works (In Simple Terms) GLP-1 is a hormone your body already makes. It plays a key role in: - Signaling the pancreas to release insulin when needed - Slowing stomach emptying so you feel full longer - Improving blood sugar control - Supporting appetite regulation and satiety When this signaling improves, weight loss can occur naturally, which further helps reduce insulin resistance. Thatโ€™s why GLP-1โ€“based support has become a major tool in addressing: - Type 2 Diabetes - Insulin resistance - Metabolic dysfunction - Obesity GLP Support by DesBio works gently with this natural pathway, without forcing the body or overstimulating systems. ๐ŸŒฟ Why I Like This Product What I appreciate most is that this is a homeopathic, whole-body support, not a harsh stimulant. GLP Support is designed to help the body adapt to metabolic changes while also supporting common areas that can become stressed, including: - Pancreas & gallbladder - Digestive system - Blood sugar regulation - Appetite signaling - Emotional stress related to weight changes Many people experience challenges like nausea, bloating, constipation, loss of appetite, or digestive discomfort when their metabolism is shifting. This formula is designed to support those systems gently, rather than ignoring them. โœจ The Bigger Picture As insulin resistance improves: - Blood sugar becomes more stable - Cravings often decrease - Energy improves - Weight loss becomes more sustainable - The body feels safer and more regulated Thatโ€™s when real, lasting change can happen. This isnโ€™t about quick fixes. Itโ€™s about supporting the bodyโ€™s intelligence so healing can unfold naturally.

Thank you for bringing this product to our attention. I have been taking a pill that has similar claims and, 60 days in, I'm not sure I'm realizing any changes. Maybe I will try this instead.
๐ŸŒฟ What's the Weed: Folk Remedies You Can Find Outside ๐ŸŒผ(Stinging Nettle)
This aggressive perennial colonizes disturbed areas, forest edges, riverbanks, and nitrogen-rich soils, often forming dense, impenetrable patches. Its serrated, heart-shaped leaves grow in opposite pairs along square stems, and the entire plant is covered with tiny hollow hairs that inject a painful, stinging compound on contact. Just brushing against it causes an immediate burning sensation that can last for hours. Most people give this plant a wide berth and curse it as a painful nuisance, yet this same "weed" is one of the most nutritious and medicinally valuable plants on earth, prized by herbalists for thousands of years. โœจ Traditional Uses: โ€ข Young spring shoots have been cooked (cooking neutralizes the sting) as an incredibly nutrient-dense wild green, rich in iron, calcium, and vitamins. โ€ข Folk healers have brewed the dried leaves into teas to support seasonal allergies, acting as a natural antihistamine. โ€ข Traditionally used as a powerful spring tonic to "build the blood" and restore vitality after winter. โ€ข Applied topically (carefully!) or in liniments to ease arthritis pain and improve circulation to sore joints. โœจ DIY Folk Remedy Recipe: Nourishing Spring Tonic Tea Gather young leaves wearing gloves (or use dried from a trusted source). Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1-2 teaspoons of dried leaves. Cover and steep for 10-15 minutes, then strain. Drink 1-3 cups daily as a mineral-rich, allergy-supporting tonic. This earthy, slightly grassy tea has been a cornerstone of traditional spring cleansing for generations. ๐Ÿ‘‡ Drop your guess in the comments, who knows this "weed"?

Stinging nettle. One I have a love/hate relationship with because no matter how much I glove and cover up, I seem to always end up getting "stung" when harvesting. But it's worth the effort. A few words of caution . . . Medication interactions - Blood pressure meds โ†’ may amplify effects and cause low BP - Diuretics โ†’ increased risk of dehydration/electrolyte imbalance - Blood thinners โ†’ nettle may affect clotting - Diabetes meds โ†’ may lower blood sugar too much Pregnancy & breastfeeding - โŒ Not recommended - May stimulate uterine contractions Blood sugar drops - Can cause hypoglycemia, especially if combined with other glucose-lowering supplements or meds Kidney concerns - Its diuretic effect can strain kidneys if overused or used with kidney disease Skin irritation - Fresh nettle causes burning, itching, and rash - Dried, cooked, or encapsulated forms remove the sting Digestive upset - Possible nausea, diarrhea, or stomach cramps in some people

@Laura Williams Stinging nettle is indigenous to large parts of the Northern Hemisphere. Specifically, it is native to: - Europe โ€“ especially widespread across temperate regions - Asia โ€“ including Western, Central, and parts of Northern Asia - North Africa - North America โ€“ particularly temperate regions of the U.S. and Canada, where it is considered native rather than invasive In its indigenous range, stinging nettle naturally grows in: - Moist, nutrient-rich soils - Riverbanks and floodplains - Forest edges and clearings - Meadows and disturbed ground
The Toxic Truth: What's Really in Your Keurig Kโ€‘Cups?
The "clean and convenient" morning ritual that's leaching plastic into your coffee Every morning, millions of people pop a Kโ€‘Cup into their Keurig machine, trusting the promise of "fresh brewed" coffee and effortless convenience. Since Keurig introduced single serve pods in the late 1990s, they've dominated home and office coffee with claims of consistency, cleanliness, and cafรฉ quality brewing. People feel efficient and modern when they press that button for their personalized cup, believing the sealed pods guarantee freshness and hygiene. But what if the very product you're using for your daily caffeine ritual is actually leaching microplastics and chemicals into your coffee, brewing stale and oxidized grounds, and creating a breeding ground for mold in your machine? Behind Keurig's sleek branding and "ultimate convenience" claims lies a disturbing reality: you're paying premium prices to drink hot plastic infused coffee from months old grounds while generating mountains of waste. Keurig's most insidious marketing strategy is exploiting busy lifestyles and cleanliness concerns while making plasticโ€‘wrapped, stale coffee seem like a luxury upgrade. โ€ข ๐—™๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ต ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—ฑ implies justโ€‘roasted quality when pods often contain coffee that's been sitting for months, oxidizing and losing flavor compounds โ€ข ๐—–๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ positioning makes people overlook the moldy water reservoirs, plastic contact, and environmental waste โ€ข ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ถ๐˜‚๐—บ ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฝ๐˜€ (Starbucks, Dunkin', etc.) transfer cafรฉ credibility to inferior pod coffee that tastes nothing like the original โ€ข ๐—–๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ถ๐˜‡๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป language makes single serve seem personalized and special rather than wasteful and expensive โ€ข ๐—ข๐—ณ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ positioning normalizes the machines as professional and hygienic when they're often neglected and contaminated โ€ข ๐—ฉ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐˜๐˜† ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ธ๐˜€ create the illusion of choice while locking consumers into proprietary, overpriced pods โ€ข ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐˜†๐—ฐ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ claims distract from the reality that most pods end up in landfills due to mixed materials and contamination

I use a French press specifically to avoid plastics. I used Nespresso for a while as their pods are not plastic and they support recycling of their pods (shipped free back to them -- avoiding the cross contamination issue). But, ultimately, it's still dripping through plastic. I'm on a search for an old Corning Ware percolator but sellers have become wise to their renewed popularity -- causing the prices to rise. A little FYI about the claim that aluminum has been linked to neurological issues -- Many studies reporting โ€œhigh aluminum levelsโ€ were later found to be affected by contamination from aluminum-containing lab materials, especially: ๐Ÿ”ฌ Aluminum Trays, Containers, and Labware - Aluminum trays, foil, or sample holders were used during: - Heat and acids can cause aluminum to leach from trays into samples - This artificially inflated aluminum measurements In short: the aluminum came from the lab equipment, not the tissue or exposure source. ๐Ÿ“‰ What Happened When Methods Improved When researchers switched to: - Inert materials (Teflon, quartz, plastic) - Clean-room protocols - Modern ICP-MS testing with contamination controls ๐Ÿ‘‰ Measured aluminum levels dropped dramatically, and many alarming findings could not be replicated. This is a classic example of methodological artifact, not biological reality. Modern studies show: - Aluminum contamination from lab materials is a well-documented issue - Findings based on contaminated methods are not considered reliable - This is one of the key reasons the aluminumโ€“neurological disorder link has been largely debunked

I'm happy to say your recipe is the same that I've been using for over 10 years now. I never add color as I have lots of male friends who prefer my balms over anything OTC. I use my candle supply companies for the tubes and they also provide stevia sweetened flavors that can be added. My favorite combination is a drop of mint and a drop of orange essential oil.

The "Complex Carb" That Spikes Blood Sugar Worse Than Table Sugar What sounds like a harmless starch or complex carbohydrate in your protein powder is actually an ultra-processed filler with a glycemic index higher than pure sugar. "Maltodextrin" isn't a whole food, it's an industrially manufactured powder created through extreme chemical and enzymatic processing that strips away all fiber and nutrients, leaving behind a blood-sugar-spiking additive that feeds harmful gut bacteria and promotes metabolic dysfunction. Maltodextrin (listed as maltodextrin, corn maltodextrin, or wheat maltodextrin) is lurking in products throughout your kitchen: โ€ข Protein powders and meal replacement shakes โ€ข Sports drinks and "electrolyte" mixes โ€ข Salad dressings and sauces โ€ข Spice blends and seasoning packets โ€ข Sugar-free and "diet" foods โ€ข Instant puddings and dessert mixes โ€ข Artificial sweetener packets (Splenda, Equal) โ€ข Baked goods and snack bars โ€ข Canned soups and gravies โ€ข Baby formula and infant foods โ€ข Vitamins and supplements โ€ข "Healthy" snack foods and chips ๐—ช๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜ "๐— ๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐˜…๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ป" ๐—”๐—ฐ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น๐˜† ๐—œ๐˜€ Maltodextrin is an ultra-processed white powder created through extreme industrial processing: The manufacturing process: โ€ข Starts with GMO corn, rice, potato, or wheat starch โ€ข Acid hydrolysis - treating starch with hydrochloric or sulfuric acid โ€ข Enzymatic breakdown - using industrial enzymes to fragment starch chains โ€ข High-temperature processing - extreme heat to break molecular bonds โ€ข Chemical purification - removing residues and impurities โ€ข Spray drying - creating fine white powder What's left is a highly refined carbohydrate with: โ€ข Glycemic index of 105-130 (higher than table sugar at 65) โ€ข Zero fiber - all removed during processing โ€ข Zero nutrients - vitamins and minerals stripped away โ€ข Rapid absorption - hits bloodstream faster than glucose It's essentially pre-digested starch that requires no breakdown, spiking blood sugar instantly.

Once again, Iโ€™ve learned that โ€œhealthyโ€ food can be a master of disguise. I didnโ€™t realize how many sugar-free foods are packed with maltodextrin. So while Iโ€™m trying to lower my glycemic index, Iโ€™ve been unknowingly doing the exact opposite. ๐Ÿ™ƒ Iโ€™ll never understand how this counts as legal labeling โ€” it feels a lot like misleading advertising to me.
