Let's Stay Accountable🔥
We could all use a little accountability - Including myself ❤️ Read the questions then grab the template at the bottom and make a post 🗒️ 1️⃣ What is **one specific thing** you completed on your book this week? Examples: * Finalized my book topic * Chose my main keyword + category * Wrote 1,200 words * Edited Chapter 1 * Uploaded my manuscript draft 2️⃣ What is the one thing you can commit to finishing by next week? Examples: * Write 2 chapters * Finish book outline * Draft my book description * Collect 10 competitor book screenshots 3️⃣ One blocker - What slowed you down or got in your way this week? This gives you: * Content ideas * Coaching opportunities * Workshop themes * DM conversations for higher-level support 4️⃣ Where are you at right now? 🔥 On track 🟡 Progress but slow 🔴 Stuck 🧠 Overthinking ⏸️ Life happened Drop your update below 👇 (Keep it short — progress > perfection) 1️⃣ **One thing you completed this week:** 2️⃣ **One thing you’re committing to finish next week:** 3️⃣ **Any blocker slowing you down? Stumbled On A New Way To Promote Your Book
I don't know if any of you have heard about the website nextdoor.com. It's a community type thing. Anyways, I happened to notice a post that somebody was looking for advice for their son looking for different choices for careers, being they didn't want to go to college and whatnot. Myself being a Merchant Mariner for over 40 years and having a published book that teaches you how to: Get Paid To Travel the World. Get Excellent Wages & Benefits. Get 4 to 8 Months Off A Year. To help I wholeheartedly offered to answer any questions they have and also point out that I have this book that's inexpensive that they can learn how to do it. Shameless plug, here's the book: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GKBJ7SV1 That being said, this might be a great format to reach people in your local community. People on next door really like to support people in their community, especially if it's something interesting. Hope you guys find this helpful. Curious to hear your thoughts.

@Williams Naomi still early to tell but nothing wrong with getting your stuff out there wherever you can. It doesn’t cost anything. I’ll keep you posted.
🎉 We Made Community History!
I just wanted to take a moment to celebrate every single one of you. Today we hit a milestone that has never been achieved before in this community... 🏆 The highest number of activities ever completed in a single day! 1,221 ACTIVITIES! That means more posts, more comments, more conversations, more connections, and more people helping each other move forward. This is exactly the kind of community I hoped we would build—not one where people just consume content, but one where people show up, encourage each other, ask questions, celebrate wins, and take action. Whether you've been posting, commenting, answering someone's question, sharing your progress, or simply cheering someone else on... you helped make this happen. Thank you for making this community what it is. I'm incredibly grateful to have all of you here. Let's keep the momentum going and see what other records we can break together! 🚀🎉

Whoo Hoo Super Cool
Start A Community Before You Publish📚
One of the biggest mistakes I see authors make is waiting until after their book is published to build a community. Instead, create your Skool community before you hit publish. Why? Because you can add a simple QR code inside your book that invites every reader to join your community. Think about it—every copy you sell becomes an opportunity to turn a random reader into someone you can continue to help, connect with, and build a relationship with long after they finish the last page. Without a community, your reader buys the book... and that's often where the relationship ends. With a community, your book becomes the beginning of the journey. If you wait until later, you'll have to go back, update your manuscript, upload a new version, and republish it. Is it possible? Absolutely. But it's one more task that usually gets pushed to the bottom of the to-do list, and many authors never get around to it. Future-proof your book from day one. ✅ Create your community. ✅ Generate your QR code. ✅ Add it to your book before you publish. Your future readers—and your future business—will thank you. 👉 START YOUR COMMUNITY FOR ONLY $9

I think most of us here are publishIng books for desire to publish for whatever reason. That being said a lot of people don’t realize that Amazon is a search engine in the same context as YouTube is. So KDP is a great opportunity to drive traffic with a built in audience. Curious to hear other peoples thoughts on this?
Create an image of a hand holding your book over a book page
I've been wrestling around with the project of mine all day. I wanted to create a process in code to replace A book cover Of an image of a hand holding a book over a page of a book. I finally realized you could just do this in Google Gemini's Nano Banana app. There are lots of ways to access NanoBanana, but if you go to Google Gemini, that's probably the easiest way, and just select create an image. Next you Add the image of the hand holding the book over the book page, and then you also upload an image of your book. Here's the prompt that you would use: I would like you to create an image like the one of the The hand holding the book over a pages of a book. replace my book image that I provided in the hand I will upload an image of the hand holding the book over the page that you can use. And I will also show you an example of mine that I created. (US Merchant Marine Roadmap) Experiment to try: I haven't actually tried this but you may be able to do this also, is take a picture of a page of your book and then also upload that when you're creating the image in nano banana. And ask it to use those words for the book page. Worth a try. Let me know how you guys make out. Hope this is helpful and fun.
