Hey everyone, I asked Owen a question regarding soothe because the latest iteration just released, and he advised I make a thread so here it is. First I’d like to know how de-resonating samples is incorporated into your individual workflows (during prep, during mixdown, etc) De-resonating is an area im trying to get a grasp of, there’s many different plugins that do it but I want to know what you other members are doing / using for de-resonating. 😉🫡

Haven't tried it yet, but acon makes great stuff, their free chorus is top of the line, better than I paid versions I've tried,, and the rest of their work offers a much more affordable restoration suite than Rx. I realized that as our group has grown, I'm less familiar with what everyone is working towards here regarding personal goals in music. No obligation for you to share, but I have found a lot of value in the knowledge-set of my peers over the last 2ish years in this community. Whether its specific techniques I can hear in the music shared, genre familiarity in areas I'm less knowledgeable in (asking for references), creative process thought paradigms, or just parallel encouragement to keep going, there's a lot of amazing minds in this group. So I'd love to know what you're working towards. I also know that my goals have become more specific and tangible as I've spent more time learning from everyone. So I'll share where I'm at now: My next goal is to increase my output without compromising on quality. Currently working towards improving my prep frames, quality of my references, and technical ear. Feeling pretty good on the technical moves in-DAW to achieve "good enough" results. To reach the next level, it feels like a matter of increasing speed, narrowing targets, and expanding my context for more genres. Tangible bar to produce one song a week that I would reasonably include in a DJ set, which requires a level of polish that currently requires much more time. I want to ask more questions and offer more encouragement, so let me know your goals if you care to share (or even if you're still figuring them out)🤘
