Having just now viewed this video of a stray coyote, I am serenaded by a pack of yowling/yipping coyotes on this chill night in Tennessee. It is pleasantly odd to watch the video and suddenly be surrounded by the howls of the same creature. Here in Chattanooga's winter, nearly everyone's backyard is a swath of hardwood forest and a creek or drainage that dashes to the Tennessee River. Plentiful deer, fox, owls, rabbits, woodchucks, bobcats, squirrels, songbirds, racoons, turtles, and snakes. The coyotes are among them.
