Ready to Rock Your Budget? ๐Ÿค˜
Shout out to @Jeff Baer and @Demetra Lambros for hopping on the call tonight! I'm not dropping the recording in here because I was having technical difficulties -- but I did promise you a worksheet, so here's that! As I've been working with people over the years, what I've learned is most people donโ€™t actually have a spending problem -- they have an ambiguity problem. A Zero-Based Budget fixes that because every dollar gets a job. It means there's no confusion, no guilt and no โ€œwhere did my money go?โ€ moments. This one covers: ๐Ÿ’ฐ Income streams ๐Ÿก Housing & utilities ๐Ÿš— Transportation ๐Ÿ‘— Clothing ๐Ÿ” Food ๐Ÿ’Š Medical ๐Ÿ“š Personal ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Insurance ๐Ÿ’ณ Debts ๐ŸŽ‰ Recreation โ€ฆand sinking funds (the secret weapon nobody teaches you). If your money feels like itโ€™s leaking out of 100 tiny holes, this is the fix. Clarity = confidence and Zero-Based Budgeting isnโ€™t about restriction. Itโ€™s about intention. Itโ€™s about giving every dollar direction so your life stops feeling chaotic and starts feeling designed. Your homework for the week is to either with pencil and paper, or a spreadsheet, write down all the categories you want in your budget and all of the line items you want added to in said category. Then, we will walk through this live on next week's call. Drop a โญ below if you'll be there.

This first session sets the foundation for the entire course, so try to catch it live if you can -- but no stress if not. Youโ€™ll still be able to follow along step-by-step. Drop a ๐ŸŽธ if youโ€™re joining live!

๐Ÿ’ธ Quick Question for the Community -- Help Me Shape the Budget Challenge!
Hey Rockstars! Iโ€™m building out the Budget Challenge for the community, and before I finalize anything, I want your input so it fits you, not just what I think you might need. Hereโ€™s what youโ€™ll already get: - A custom-designed Every Day Rockstars budget spreadsheet - A complete budgeting checklist to make sure nothing gets forgotten - A supportive, step-by-step challenge to help you actually use your budget Before I layer anything else in, I want to make sure the challenge feels simple, practical, and not overwhelming. So I have two questions for you: 1. How many weeks (or lessons) do you think this challenge should be? Something short and powerful? Or a multi-week process with accountability? 2. What questions do you have about budgeting? Anything you struggle with, avoid, or feel confused by? Right now I am leaning towards a live call/series that is recorded for playbacks for anyone that missed it. I also might include a few bonus elements, like a monthly live call where we all set our budgets together, but I only want to add those if they genuinely help you and donโ€™t overload the challenge. Your feedback will shape the entire structure, so drop your thoughts below. Letโ€™s build this in a way that feels clear, doable, and empowering. ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ”ฅ @Keith Marvicsin @Krista Brea @Demetra Lambros @Jeff Baer @Scarlett Wieliczki @David Shepherd @Joe Salvucci

How I Plan for Black Friday (And Actually Save Money Instead of Panic-Buying ๐Ÿค˜)
If you're anything like me, you love a good deal... but only if itโ€™s actually a deal. There are 361 days until it pops up again, so the time to plan is NOW! Here's the truth: Black Friday can either be your financial best friend or a chaotic, inbox-flooded disaster. So hereโ€™s how I make it work for me. ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ… Leading up to Black Friday, EVERY brand youโ€™ve ever bought from (or even briefly flirted with at 2am) is going to email you. This is the perfect time to: 1. Unsubscribe from all the random brands you donโ€™t want to hear from ever again. 2. Make a โ€œBlack Friday Listโ€ of the brands you do actually like, even if you didnโ€™t purchase from them this year but might in the future. This gives you targeted deals, not noise. ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ…ฟ 2: ๐—จ๐˜€๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ ๐—Ÿ๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—š๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ด๐—น๐—ฒ ๐—ฆ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐˜ I keep a simple Google Sheet (photo attached) that I update year-round as new brands or ideas pop into my head. Things like: - โ€œOh, those leggings look amazing.โ€ - โ€œMy friend had that travel bag -- I want that.โ€ - โ€œOoh, a juicerโ€ฆ one day.โ€ Everything goes in the sheet with columns for: - Company - Item - Budget - Actual Price Paid - Purchased (Y/N) - Notes It keeps me organized, intentional, and out of impulse-buy territory (I have another hack for this, too!) ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ…ฟ 3: ๐—œ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐—ถ๐—ณ๐˜† ๐—”๐—ป๐˜† ๐—•๐—ถ๐—ด ๐—ฃ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—˜๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—น๐˜† This year I had two bigger purchases in mind: 1. Luggage Upgrade My carry-on ripped recently, and honestlyโ€ฆ Iโ€™ve wanted a hard-shell, spinner-wheel suitcase for YEARS. Black Friday was the perfect time. 2. My Kuvings Juicer This juicer has been on my wish list forever and the price has been climbing. I ended up getting it for basically the price it was three years ago when I first wanted it. THAT is a Black Friday win. ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ…ฟ 4: ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐˜ ๐—ฌ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ ๐—ฃ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—•๐˜‚๐—ฑ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐˜ (๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ธ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—œ๐˜โ€ฆ ๐— ๐—ผ๐˜€๐˜๐—น๐˜†) I gave myself $1,000 this year to spend on me. I went over by about $130 ๐Ÿ˜… mostly because I bought a more expensive suitcase AND the packing cubes to go with it (no regrets).
