I Discovered I was shite at football quite early on so competed in my first triathlon when I was about 9 and despite putting my t-shirt and helmet both on the wrong way round, I was hooked. Next 8 years included Scottish titles in triathlon and running, trips across the country and to Jersey for the Super-Series and many friends for life and memories made. I unfortunately got injured due to overtraining and growing (although not as tall as @Ian Hamilton yet) and fell out of love with the sport and stopped competing. With a few years awa from tri, my love for it returned and I still continue to swim, bike and run in a leisurely fashion, and always looking for new challenges in any sport really, with boxing as my next mini adventure. I have been coaching at Glasgow Tri Club under the wise leadership of @Alan Cardwell since 2022 and have loved every moment of it, spreading my love for the sport with a key aim to keep people involved in the triathlon and enjoying it as much as possible having reflected on my own experiences as a kid. Looking forward to sharing ideas, learning from others and help people achieve their goals in whatever endurance related ambitions they have!
