Another Powerful Evening of Growth – Proverbs 20 Reflection Tonight's session centered on Proverbs 20, with a powerful discussion around the themes of comfort, counterfeit, and counsel, viewed through the lenses of affection, integrity, and judgment. One verse that deeply challenged me was Proverbs 20:13: "Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread." The greatest takeaway was that "sleep" represents more than physical rest—it can symbolize becoming too comfortable, complacent, or unaware of the opportunities God has already placed before us. When we remain comfortable, we delay stewardship, obedience, growth, and opportunity. But when we open our eyes spiritually and practically, we position ourselves to recognize and seize what God has prepared. Another lesson that resonated with me was: "Doing things you don't like to do builds character." Growth often requires stepping outside of our comfort zone and embracing challenges that develop discipline and maturity. The hands-on AI business session reinforced this principle as I watched practical tools bring my website to life. It was a reminder that God provides opportunities through wisdom, learning, and innovation however, it is our responsibility to not be just hearers of his words but to take action. My Overall takeaway is- God is calling us to stay awake, remain teachable, and faithfully steward every opportunity He places before us. When we choose growth over comfort, we become better equipped to fulfill the work He has called us to do.
