Introduction
Hey guys, my name is Dima and I'm a sound designer. I'm here to learn how to start make a content and find a clients. I love Jim Jarmusch's movies. I've never posted anything on Instagram or any other social media platforms, even on my personal accounts. That's why this feels like the biggest challenge to me. I'm glad to be here and have a nice week guys :)

Hey @Dima Sound what's up? The first thing I'd try would be this: talk to yourself for a minute. Explain a simple concept of your work, try to do it just the way you'd usually explain things. Well, this helped me A LOT when I started. We tend to be very specific when talking about something we already know, listening to yourself first is a good exercise to keep it simple, less wordy and more fitted to a broader audience (even If you are Niche). Content Creation is tricky, but you can master It, just trust the process 🙏🏽 Nice to meet you ☺️ let's grow together.
Burning out will affect your whole life
For a while, I was really excited to create content for myself and my clients, but I ended up forgetting about my health. I just kept going and going. Meanwhile, I was neglecting my own time and rest because I wanted to deliver something great for my clients and my social media. What happened was that I couldn't properly develop the content for my clients or even my own scripts and projects. In other words, while I desperately wanted to produce more, the quality was poor. This impacted my projects, my finances, and my relationship with my team. My team couldn't fully trust me anymore because I wasn't delivering what they needed. And that was the red flag for me, truly. You can not work with someone you can't trust. Now, my solution was to take two steps back, breath in and admit: I was burned out. Now I'm taking baby steps, Day by Day, "creating" instead of only "producing". How do you folks deal with that?
Is AI really "taking over" Hollywood?
I watched a video today about the new SeeDance 2, and I have to admit, it gave me a much-needed sense of perspective (and a bit of a sigh of relief). We often hear the noise about how technology is going to replace every ounce of human creativity in big-budget films. But what struck me was the gap between "generating a cool clip" and "sustaining a cinematic masterpiece." There’s a level of technical precision and, frankly, a soul that Hollywood requires which current AI just hasn't captured.

Yeah, and EVEN IF AI get to Hollywood, independent cinema will always be there. Lol

Family and Content Creation
I just saw a report from Arijeta Lajka, a reporter for the New York Times. She highlighted how YouTube is recommending AI-generated videos to children and labeling them as "educational." We’re seeing elephants with five legs, cats that can cook, and cows hatching eggs: with calves emerging from them! She cited several specialists, from pedagogues to neuroscientists, who all shared the same concern: we simply don't have enough data to understand how AI-generated content will impact a child's learning process. I’m worried about this both as an uncle to three kids and as a content creator. What if, in the near future, children can't distinguish between AI hallucinations and reality? This isn't Luddite fear-mongering; it's a practical question: will they know that hams don't grow on "ham-trees"? Will they understand that cows are mammals and cannot hatch eggs? As creators, how do we face this? While a child might learn the alphabet through an AI video, the "collateral damage" (the small, foundational facts we take for granted) could be significant. I don't fear AI itself, but I do fear its long-term impact on information processing. We don't have the data yet, but I’ll certainly be keeping a close eye on it. 🕵️

@Gustavo From Cavanca Yeah, and since we can not be really inside someone's head, it's complicated to understand how the other "reads" the world. Like, in marketing we have a thing, I know the triggers to engage someone in what I'm talking, but when it comes to the very process of "learning", I mean, how do we create this tension between selling something AND putting a line between what's "concrete" or not? IDK maybe I'm stepping into the morals of content creation haha🤔
