BIAM Discount! Share with your Friends
Okay so WordCrafter.Pro is $22 a month with a 14 day free trial (Discount for a yearly subscription). I've added a coupon for all BIAM folks this month that want to try it an Extra 30days free. When their trial runs out and they have to register they can use the coupon BIAMMAY2026 at checkout and get their next 30 days free to be able to finish BIAM. I've passed this on to a couple folks already. If there is enough interest I'll do an every other day help session for the BIAM folks since the custom prompting can be a little tricky. I'm running it both ways as a test. Founders of course will never pay.

Writing Wednesday...Creative that is...
I'm going to issue homework today. Everyone who has access to WordcrafterPro go visit Brainstorm and share an idea here that you work up with them that is NOT your usual genre. Pick something totally knew or out of you wheelhouse to share. ****** Edit... What I did. Created a series called Brainstorm, created a book called ideas, and a first Scene document called wednesday challenge. ( the names don;t matter.. whatever works for you) Select the Wednesday Challenge to open in edit and chose the brainstorm skill room "Hey guys I need to talk about a comedy idea today" and then I fed it a premise...my real morning life. after chatting back and forth they were ready to create the Brief. I saved that to a file, checked it to add it to context and in the ai chat window added "can you summarize this into two paragraphs" I did have to put part of the conversation in as I'm going to have to share the whole thing with my wife tonight. Our lives are sometimes stranger than fiction and better than and sit-com.

What gets in your way and why? What stops you from doing what you really want to do? What is your true passion that gives you focus? I used to say time. I'm a decent time manager when I have control of my time but ho rarely is this really true? Work, kids, other family, friends, hobbies, other interests and obligations all tend to eat time. Now we can add Doom Scrolling, Social media, email, the 297 tabs i really, really do not mean to ignore, the 37 Books next to the bed in my TBR pile, the second TBR pile at the desk, the third TBR pile of ebooks & pdfs (truly an uncountable mess) and the 9,566 saved articles TBR in Get recall, 8400+ (too many playlists) of saved videos to watch on youtube, 26,421 unread emails and 121,000 saved browser links. A wonderfully supportive and artistic wife, 6 children,a codependent mutt (but she's cute and fuzzy), An autistic cat, a demon cat and a ficus named Phred. Whew... my life in numbers. Too many interesting things to learn and know, not enough time to sleep. Learning that a lot of this was ADHD officially a couple of years ago doesn't help and doesn't give really good coping mechanisms. Interestingly enough when I started this Skool channel and decided to send the PWS into the open, and then developed what is now WordCafter Pro, I gained a modicum of clarity and focus in other areas of my life as well. The scarily intimidating numbers above are no longer hanging over my head anymore and everything is starting to flow... So I ask again: What gets in your way and why? What stops you from doing what you really want to do? What is your true passion that gives you focus? Ruminate on that a bit and share if you wan, but its really an exercise in self-reflection.

@Vikki Carter Thank you so much for the encouragement! We got this! I just wish I had more time for my creative endeavors. Sometimes my creative cup runs pretty low and considering I'm going to school for Visual communication and graphic design, it's not a good thing to be in a spot where i feel that way. I am eternally grateful to have met the many people I have online who are so encouraging.💕

@Michael Culp I am doing my best to keep it all going in forward direction. It can get hard that's for sure. I'm happy to have found such great folks in the author community💕
The Brainstorm room is Online
Read this post if you have not already on a possible Brainstorm team https://www.skool.com/pws-community-for-writers-8447/brainstorming-team?p=f820d6a2 This is tentative only as a test unless everyone loves or hates it. They have two modes Full discussion and quick short story. There's a quick short story discussion in the link. The Brainstorm Room is currently in the PWS Skills list in WordCrafter Pro 7th item from the top. If you want to play with them start the conversation with "Hi gang I want to talk about a short story idea". They'll prompt you for an idea or throw one out "Hey room, I've got this great idea about a troll bridge...." as long and as much as you want to tell them Let me know what you think. This one is not set in stone yet and any changes are possible

Brainstorming team
Brainstorming thoughts I had a request in feedback for a more general Brainstorming and ideas team and since I ma no longer working in a vacuum I thought I would toss this out here. What specialists would such a team need? I like to keep them to 5 or 6 and the Director is necessary to make the rest behave. but it you wanted a group of friends to discuss a story idea with who would they be and what kind of backgrounds should they have. This matters for context and quality. Give me some ideas I really like this as a Phase Zero. As was pointed out to me the story development team is great but they do push you to getting to the finish line so they can hand off to the character creators and the writers room. They're not very good at just freeform passing things back and forth. I was reminded of this post as well that I need to go back and ponder "Sit with me" https://www.skool.com/pws-community-for-writers-8447/happy-accidents?p=71613958 Research thoughts While I'm at it I'm also thinking of a pure research tab with essentially no prompt so you can do a quick internet search and add to your notes directly here. Sure you can go to perplexity, google, chatgpt, claude, etc.. and copy and paste the answers, but would it be helpful? Ideas This ties into the first.. instead of just starting with a series, maybe the first item is IDEAS... a place to store snippets, and quick notes (and this send my rabbit hole brain into maybe a browser extension you can pop up at any time to type in something quick and send directly to the ideas.....nah.. we have enough of those). Here me out! Ideas is a place to drop in a single file idea for all of those snippets and scenes you have hiding on your hard drive. Just putting them in here is a memory cue that they exist. Quick and dirty, they would be a binder style list (still thinking UI/UX/Interface here) that when you clicked on would open a modal window in front of everything that you could edit in , copy and paste in, come back and read. might even add the transcribe microphone to this and a "USE" button that would open a book and add it as a file to start working with. Not sure about this one exactly.. still percolating.

I would think (1) to check genre marketability of the genre the person is considering to make sure the idea stays within given market guidelines and common tropes necessary WHILE brainstorming UNLESS the Dev team can correct this later without scrapping the entire idea. (1) to help make sure the idea is feasible and accurate within the given world. For example if its got medical things in it, it would check for Physical, medical and pharmacological accuracy, if it has military it would check accuracy of terms and if things are doable or possible IRL. This of course is easier in fantasy as things would be able to be made up and pushed more. But it would be really important for ideas set in the real world. (1) To make sure that the ideas are diverse and not repeated. I tend to get a lot of the same ideas spit at me 15 different ways and it's frustrating sometimes. (1) that will stress test the ideas in the world setting as you build them. For me I like to have a back and forth with the LLM to see what the reader might spot as potential issues with my story and fix it right then and there. Instead of getting into development and then finding a massive hole. (1) that specializes in character creation of deep complex characters that can fit into the ideas? (1) That specializes is ideating worlds and building when the world idea is chosen. For me I start small and build on and on with repeated question and answer series with my LLM's and that helps me ideate and build deeper characters and worlds. They could ask questions to deepen the world or suggest settings that could work well. Oh and obviously one that can just come up with good ideas :) I am not sure if this is what your looking for. Sorry if my thoughts are messy, I'm in class and typing fast.

@Michael Culp so if they handle it all then what about another persona inside the dev team that is more willing to brainstorm longer or more back and forth ? I usually think about all of this while brainstorming . Maybe so the user doesn’t build an idea that’s outside of genre and market standards it could be useful to have this “chaos gremlin” as you say inside with the team so they can all work together as the idea is built? can we reference a specific persona in chat and just ideate with the one? Just a thought…. I am still learning how this all works so sorry if I am off base.
