LIVE Q&A โ€” Tuesday Night | Ironman Cairns Prep
2 months out and I know your brain is full of questions. So let's clear them. This Tuesday night I'm going live in the community for an open floor Q&A โ€” and nothing is off limits. Nutrition meltdowns on the run? Ask it. Pacing strategy when the heat hits? Ask it. What to actually pack in your transition bags? Ask it. That one thing keeping you up at night? Especially ask it. To get the conversation started, answer one (or all) of these below ๐Ÿ‘‡ What does your race-day nutrition plan look like right now, and where do you still have doubt? What's your plan for the the bike, and how confident are you in it? Is there anything in your kit you haven't tested properly that's still nagging at you? What part of race day are you most nervous about, and why? How are you feeling about your taper โ€” trusting the process or fighting the urge to do more? Drop your answers below before Tuesday and I'll make sure we go deep on everything that comes up. Or bring your questions fresh on the night. Either way, show up. This is the conversation that could change how your race unfolds. ๐Ÿ™Œ Erica. X.

Nutrition plan is my trusty English muffins with LOTS of honey and PB, and a coff of course. Hoping to hit around 100g carbs/hr on the bike and 60g/hr on the run using a mixture of PURE gels and inifinit drink mix. I LOVE the bike. Plan is to ease into it as to not cook myself in the first hour, let the HR settle and enjoy the views. Tackle the hills one at a time. I am most nervous about the swim, as I am not near the ocean currently I have not been able to do ocean swims which makes me worry, however, I will be doing a few ocean swims when back on the coast before race day to reacquaint. Trusting the process with taper. After last training block I was truly blown away with how my taper affected how I performed on race day I now have the proof to ease my mind haha.
Synergy Weekly Newsletter ๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ
Another big week across the Synergy community and it has been fantastic to see so many athletes showing up, executing and supporting each other. Remember the Synergy equation: Time Management ร— Habit Formation = Consistency Consistency is what turns training into results. Athlete Results ๐Ÿ‘‡ Huge congratulations to our athletes who raced this weekend. Damo took 1st in his Age Group at the Hills Sprint Aquabike with a strong and well executed race ๐Ÿฅ‡ Nell (Janelle) delivered a brilliant performance at Hell of the West 70.3, taking Australian Triathlon Age Group Bronze ๐Ÿฅ‰ Podiums are the outcome, but what we really celebrate is the weeks and months of consistency that lead to them. Well done team. Cairns Build Updates ๐Ÿ‘‡ The Cairns athletes are continuing to build nicely. Gaby has been absolutely dialled in with training while over in Mexico, embracing the Synergy mindset of Accept, Adjust and Adapt. Travelling, new environments and different routines can be challenging but she has handled it brilliantly and is looking strong heading into the next block. As a community we also want to support Shelby, who is heading out to regional Queensland for work. New location, new job and maintaining a Cairns build is a big adjustment. Please jump into the chats and support her as much as possible. One of the strengths of this community is that no one trains alone. Jessie is currently on annual leave and is about to have a massive 3 weeks of pro hours!! Haha be careful what you wish for, girl ๐Ÿ˜… Ultraman Build ๐Ÿ‘‡ On the Ultraman side of things, training is continuing to progress well. Tab has been incredibly dialled in and is looking strong and confident in the current phase of the build. On a personal note, my travel nursing contract has officially finished and I will be returning to Brisbane this week, which means more stability in training and the chance to reconnect with many of you in person again. Upcoming Events ๐Ÿ‘‡ Sunny Coast Simulation Day For both Cairns athletes and Ultraman athletes, we will soon be organising a Simulation Training Day on the Sunshine Coast.

Athlete Testimonials!
Thanks everyone for your amazing testimonials!! We seem to have a cohort who wants to go to the Coffs Harbour Tri Festival!! I am going to give you all a few reasons why this will be fantastic! 1. It kicks you back into gear after the Xmas and New year break! 2. It will more than likely be warm, hot and humid. Great training for the Ironman Cairns cohort. 3. It's an entire weekend! If the banana fun run plus the tri and a few sessions we can do in the area as a group. Give me your reasons and we can make it align with your goals. Coffs Harbour Tri Festival is 31st January 2026
