For my baking girlies
What are you working on this weekend? I made this sourdough discard waffle recipe with fresh milled soft white wheat. They turned out pretty soft. Only two people opted to roll their waffle in the cinnamon sugar mix.

Ok I am not working on anything fermented at the moment but it reminded me of the 8 months I had only stovetop a couple years ago and I had a huge starter growing so I made sourdough discard English muffins often, an sourdough choc chip cookies and granola! Those three were my favorites! Can’t wait to try more again soon! ❤️

Here’s the recipe and then my go at it! Don’t forget to use the fork to open them when ready to eat to get those nooks and cranny’s
Traditional or Clinically Backed?
I've thought for a while that my strength and nutritition coaching with FASTer Way (a clinically backed effective programing format) needed to live separate from my love for traditional foods, and teaching on fresh milled bread, plus my experience with bone broth, kombucha and more crunchy practices. This is an experiment in building a community around a little of both. My guess is there are more women like me, who want the evidence-backed strategies for fat loss, strength, and resilience, and also want to touch the earth and make nourishing real foods with a more crunchy and earth-connected approach. If that resonates with you, drop a YES, and maybe share a little about why. So glad you're here. Come on in and relax and stay a while. Share some love with the other participants, and look around: more is being built in here as we get started. Thanks for coming to visit in here, friends! Cheers!

Yes my mother always said “We do all the natural things we can to support the body, then if we cant kill the infection or it lingers unnaturally long, we can go to conventional”. We all need to strike a balance and it’s important to be teachable. Yes I absolutely love liver but I need my Organised organ protein powder too

@Gwen Roach yes it’s from the UK. It’s a bit pricey but with mold I have to be so careful. I’m down to pretty limited options. But the great thing about it is that it has no mushrooms ( for the moldy over here :), it’s only organs and colostrum, maple, honey and date to sweeten but it provides full Heavy metal and mold test reports on their website.

Hey, I'm Gwen. Come have a seat!🌻 You're here because you're already capable. You know your way around a kitchen. You've been feeding people you love for years, and probably feeding them well. You might not have a system that's working optimally for your body in midlife. That's it. That's the gap. This is a kitchen-first community for midlife women who want more nourishment, more strength, and more capacity for the life they're already building. Not another set of rules. Not one more thing to perfect. We learn real food together. 🥖 Fresh milled baking, sourdough, broths, real rhythms in the kitchen. We learn to fuel our bodies well. 💪 Protein, strength, energy that actually holds through your day. And we do it without extremes, without perfectionism, and without pretending any of this has to look a certain way to count. You don't need fixing. You need simpler systems. That's what we're building here, together. 🌼 Ready to jump in? ☑️ Introduce yourself below. Tell us what you're building, in the kitchen or in life. ☑️ Say hello to someone. Connection is part of the nourishment here. ☑️ Tell us one thing you're excited to learn. We want to know what brought you here. Welcome to the table. 🌾

Hey I’m Meagan! I’m here because of Gwen and my passion for all things health and natural living. We homeschool co op together and teach our kids in the same community. I was born on a goat farm in Sherwood, Oregon but moved to Los Angeles at 3 years of age and grew up in a multi cultural area. Some of my earliest memories are being taught Cuban coffee and Platanos by one neighbor and Bulgarian foods by another neighbor from when I was 5 and up! I’ve Home birthed all 4 of my children and I feel that was my biggest motivator for becoming an advocate for Nourishing Foods and Natural Living! So glad to be here and thank you Gwen for starting this !
Very important question
What song would describe your life right now??
