SCHEDULE (Broad strokes — we'll play by ear 😊) - 12:00 PM: MEET & GREET 📍 Sheep Meadow ~ Central Park, Manhattan, New York Entrance via Central Park West at West 65th St or West 66th St. - 12:30 PM: MUSIC, DANCE & PLAY We'll gather in a circle, connect through music, play a little, laugh a lot... I'm bringing my African drum 🪘 Feel free to bring: 🪘 An instrument 🧺 A blanket or chair 💧 Water ~ Lunch/Snack 🎈 Your inner child - 1:30 PM: WALK IN THE PARK We'll explore this beautiful city park while enjoying walk-and-talk conversations. We may even do some timed partnering so everyone has an opportunity to connect and get to know the humans behind the communities. - 2:30 PM: VISIBILITY (Bonus) For those who wish to stay a bit longer, this will be an opportunity to share about your community, hear from others about theirs, and support one another. Hey everyone, Spring is here, and it feels like the right time to bring some fresh energy back into the NYC IRL community. I got together recently with @Rositsa Aleksandrova @Jack Shiller @Chanie Twersky @Heidi Reagan to talk about what this community could become, and the clearest theme was simple: people are hungry for real connection. To start, we’re thinking about hosting regular virtual meetups so we can reconnect, hear everyone’s ideas, and get a better sense of what people would actually want from future IRL gatherings. So I’d love to hear from you: What time on Sundays would you be most likely to join a casual NYC IRL virtual meetup? Excited for what’s ahead, Michael
