DID YOU KNOW?
Have you ever stopped to admire the sky, an old building, a beautiful sentence, or some tiny detail everyone else seemed to miss? There’s a word for someone who does that: A philocalist is someone who has a deep love and appreciation for beauty—whether it’s found in art, nature, literature, or simply the little details of everyday life. So, are you a philocalist? ✨ What’s one small beautiful thing you noticed today?

🇺🇸 English Expressions: What’s the Catch? 🎣
Hey everyone! 👋 Today’s expression is “what’s the catch?” 👉 It means “What’s the hidden problem, disadvantage, or condition?” We usually say it when something sounds too good to be true and we suspect there must be a a hidden cost, trap, or fine print. Origin: The expression comes from the idea of catching something with a hook. You may get what you want, but there’s a “catch” attached to it—a hidden condition or problem. Over time, “what’s the catch?” became a common way to question an apparently great deal or offer. 🎣 Examples: • “You can stay at this hotel for free.” — “Really? What’s the catch?” 🏨 • “They’re giving away free laptops!” — “Okay, what’s the catch?” 💻 • “You can work from home and make twice as much money.” — “What’s the catch?” 💰 Quick note: 👉 “What’s the catch?” = What’s the hidden downside? 👉 “There’s a catch.” = There’s a hidden condition or disadvantage. Now it’s your turn! 💬 Drop your own sentence using “What’s the catch?” below 👇 WE LEARN FROM EACH OTHER! 🤝

Potsticker Party😋
We go to the same river every year with a few families. The kids are about the same age, and we all get along very well. 😊 There are 17 people and two dogs. 🐶 We went there yesterday, and after we came back from the river, we decided to have a Potsticker Party. 🥟 We baked 60 potstickers, and they were so delicious!! Anyway, I wanted to post this because I want to know the right word. In Japanese, there are individual names for dumplings: Gyoza Shumai Shorompou And I thought in English, everything was called a dumpling. But I came across the word "potsticker" on the instagram again. So, which word do you usually use: dumpling or potsticker?
