Day 8: Summer of Separation – Mirror Work Experience Note: This is sacred work. ******************************************** Do not share what you say in your mirror. That is between you and you. You may share what you feel from embracing the work. Thank you. Mirror Work Prompt (2 Minutes) Stand or sit in front of a mirror. Look directly into your own eyes. No distractions. No rushing. Step 1: Ground (20–30 seconds) Take a slow breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. Soften your face. Relax your shoulders. Just observe yourself without judgment. Step 2: Confront & Witness (30–40 seconds) Say (out loud): “I see the part of me that has been holding onto [insert pattern — fear, doubt, overgiving, self‑abandonment, etc.].” Pause. Let any emotion come up. Don’t fix it—witness it. If you want deeper exploration later, you can revisit: - fear patterns - self‑abandonment cycles - overgiving tendencies - Step 3: Rewire with Affirmation (60 seconds) Repeat slowly, maintaining eye contact: “I am no longer operating from [pattern]. I choose to see myself clearly, fully, and truthfully. I trust myself to show up as the version of me I am becoming. My voice, my presence, and my power are safe to express.” Repeat 2–3 times, letting the words land in your body. Why This Works (Tie to Your Intentions) Neurological Imprinting Eye contact + voice creates a stronger neural association than silent affirmations. You’re pairing identity with sensory input. Confronting Resistance The mirror doesn’t let you dissociate. If discomfort arises, that’s the doorway to transformation. Cultivating the Observing Self You begin to separate from the old pattern and witness it, instead, of allowing it to control us. Transforming Inner Dialogue You’re not just thinking new thoughts—you’re declaring identity in a way your subconscious recognizes as real. If you want to explore this further, you can dive into: - observing self practices - identity reprogramming
