Every Rep Counts. What Are You Working On This Week?
Hey PDU fam! Happy Monday. New week, let's get into it. Before you scroll past, drop below real quick: ➊ What skill or project are you working on this week? ➋ What are you planning to actually create or practice? ➌ How could what you are working on this week turn into income? Shoutout to everyone who dropped their update Friday 👇 @Ruth B. recovery comes first this week, no exceptions. Rest up and come back strong. The digital product test phase and the two styled shoot venues will be waiting when you are ready. Take care of yourself. @Tronda Dixon CRM still in progress, replays reviewed, mystery box opened, and draping started. The sewing machine is the next unlock. This week keep pushing on the CRM and tell us exactly where you are getting stuck so we can help you move faster. @Marie Simplice replays reviewed and IG, Facebook and website on the list for this week. That visibility foundation is important. Let's see how much of that you can get done by Friday. Drop in and tell us your progress. @Nicole King biggest event of the year done, tried a new backdrop style, and already focused on the May 9th event and investing more time in the community. That is the right mindset after a big win. What are you practicing or creating this week to prepare for May 9th? @Regina Everett you are showing up and still booking events while taking care of your mom and that deserves real recognition. Two chair rental bookings while carrying that much is not small. This week be gentle with yourself and if you get even one practice session in that is a win. Everyone else, Evelyn, Donna, Jacqueline, Lucy, Dianne, Sasha, Stacy, Kimberly and the rest of the fam, don't go quiet on a Monday. Drop in and tell us what you are building this week. Let's make it count!

Following up with shippers this week waiting for a starting 10ft x 50ft kit to arrive with basic black, white, champagne, burgandy fabrics to prep backdrops for the Noire Youth Theatre event in summer. Will source some red panels as well ... deciding on fabric choices. Waiting for specifics so I can plan how those will get used. Some of it will feed into a luncheon event end of May if it arrives on time. Baby shower is well underway. Outside of events I am planning on what else my clients ask for and whether I can include it as a sustainable offering. . I get asked to do lots of things and I want to be flexible but also know what my strengths are... I want to do what brings me joy and what brings joy...

1. Delivered a last minute baby shower table centerpiece. Nothing special but I executed. Practiced some draping recognizing that I need more fabric options. Waiting for proper kit to land on island. Scoped out a van.. Hoping to test drive in 2 to 3 weeks 2. I wanted more time to learn and practice the pleating styles but that is an ongoing development at this point. 3. May 26th is my next big event so I am doing site visits to see what canvas I have to work with.

My Draping Tutorial Takeaways - The fabric type will generate different outcomes (Inspiring a visit to the local fabric store for voile, velvets, sequins and spandex... Oh My). Understanding this and the approach to colour theory (complementary, contrasting, tridaics ..love the monochromatic) makes it all come together when laying out the design in an impactful way. Simply amazing videos!! Looking forward to practicing the draping techniques some more!

@Karen Wynn Hi Karen... We are definitely in the same space. Love events and I am excited to see what you end up doing and how you incorporate your existing skills into draping. You can do this!!
What Got Done This Week? Drop Your Friday Update Below
Hey PDU fam! Happy Friday. Before you close out the week, drop below real quick: ➊ What did you actually get done or practice this week? ➋ What didn't move that you wanted it to? ➌ What is one thing you want to focus on going into next week? Shoutout to everyone who showed up in the comments this week 👇 @Lucy Mireles cleaning and organizing the storage was the move this week. Did you get through it? Knowing exactly what you have is the first step to knowing what you can offer and what to invest in next. @Sasha Castle baby shower colour palettes, a two panel backdrop, balloon arch, centerpieces AND thinking about inventory for Bermuda all at once. That is a full creative and business week. Did the practice sessions land the way you envisioned? The space must transform, you said it yourself. Tell us how it went. @Ruth B. you did not just answer the question, you mapped out an entire business strategy. Content to clients, new designs to higher pricing, systems to more bookings, and digital products as the next play. That is not just thinking, that is someone who sees the full picture. How much of that actually moved this week? Everyone else, Regina, Darelle, Dianne and the rest of the fam, don't go quiet on a Friday. Drop your update below so we can close the week with intention. See you Monday!

The baby shower is handled.. we have some pink varients paired with champagne... It will be wonderful.. waiting for the inventory to arrive on island so I can make final creative edits. The event is outdoors so I am preparing for potential wind. Centerpieces are ready for easy set up.. Just waiting for some accents to arrive on island. I am excited to drape for this event... This event is in June so I am well ahead. For May 27 or so I have a community celebration. Waiting for location details so I can work the vision with my expanded inventory. On the slow boat to Bermuda... Progress is in hand!
